Bought rocket and this, and this blows the red away, only benefit the red has is that you can plug a cord in. The light is way brighter and on this one. And I’m a red guy lol. I’d give 5 star if it had a plug option. also I feel the build quality is better here, handle is one piece not like red

This light is amazing. It was a hard pill to swallow because of the cost, but it’s portability and waterproofness is well worth the cost. Very bright. Extends about 8-9 feet high. On a 5 amp hour battery, I get about 4 hours of light from it. Definitely recommend.

Having a small second business after my 8-4 and being winter time it gets dark so early, I absolutely needed lights and am so far extremely happy with the output of light the fact that it goes up seven feet is nice as it’s able to project a larger area for working in and other than the lack of ability to plug in and a little better battery life I have no complaints !

The light itself seems really well made. Puts out a good bit of usable white light… My unit arrived used… In a busted up box with no wrapping or manual. And if I didn’t need it that day… I would have sent it back. Not sure why whoever sent it back did that, other than it doesn’t come with a battery… and for the price, there are other better options for job site lighting. As is… I wouldn’t buy this light if I wasn’t already so heavily invested in DeWALT 20v and Flexvolt Batteries.

Dewalt, being the best name on the market, always comes thru. All of their power tools are the toughest and sturdiest, the batteries are no different. They are pricey, but the last. I definitely would give them a 10 rating, for excellence.

Used this light the other night on the farm to take apart a tree that had come down in the woods out on the path and 2 others. It ran for a good 4-5mhours in sub-freezing weather (it ran longer than my back did!). The light is super easy to set up (1 button and the tripod deploys), and smooth operation to raise the pole with the light on it, even with gloves on. One tree we were chopping up was right next to a major road, so we had to keep the light from glaring on the cars. So we had to keep the tripod fairly close to us, and it doesn’t tilt far enough down to light right in front of the tripod. When we were out in the woods it worked great as we could place the light 15’ away. The light is easy to move, and does make the worlds largest/brightest flashlight (albeit heavy and awkward). I may want to 3D print a shade to prevent side glare so if I am working near a road again it’s less of a problem. I would definitely recommend this if you ever need lighting far away from power. The fact that it can share batteries with my other tools is a huge plus.

The light is very powerful. A few days after purchasing the light we had to bury our horse out in the woods. One excavator broke down and we had to get another one to help out. The Dewalt tripod light allowed us to bury the horse before the coyotes showed up .Great light!!
