This is the first electric mower I ever used, I bought it because I use dewalt tools and needed a lawn mower for my yard. The 5v batteries do not last as long as I though they would but I have never had an issues with power. It is simple, push the button and go, I like not having to mess with gas and oil levels, just charging the batteries.

This is a great mower. Runs exceptionally quieter than gas powered equipment. I don’t notice any different in cut quality or power when mowing. The batteries included (two 5ah)are enough to do a small yard, if you keep moving at a constant pace. I’ll upgrade to larger flex volt batteries next season. All in all, very impressed with this push mower. Great build quality, great power, great tool.

Having a cordless mower has freed me up to complete my lawn chores in half the time. This is a great mower.

Almost Perfect!Overall this mower works just as well as any gas mower I’ve ever had. I have a small yard and a limited amount of storage space, so the Dewalt fits my needs perfectly. I love not having to mess around with gas or oil mixtures or put any thought into storage of hazardous materials. No engine to maintain makes is easy to just get it out and start cutting. The only downside is the battery capacity that comes with the mower. This product came with two 5-amp/hour batteries that were just enough to cut the front yard before needing a recharge. I ended up buying two 6 amp/hour Flexvolt batteries (which is probably the minimum the mower should come with) to increase the run time. This didn’t bother me too much as I have other Dewalt tools I can use with the batteries. For those looking to buy this mower I would suggest just getting the bare tool and 6 amp/hour or greater batteries separately. If this mower came with higher capacity batteries, this would be a 5 star review.PROS:- Lightweight steel frame is durable but easy to maneuver and pick up.- Powerful motor has no problem with thick grass.- Easy and smooth one lever height adjustment.- Vertical storage capability.- Push button start works every time.- Slight noise reduction over a gas mower.- No exhaust.CONS:- Low run time on provided batteries.- Long recharge time on included charger; takes several hours.- No drive motor, only a manual push mower.

Bought this mower earlier this year just as a option for my front yard. Super quiet I can mow at 6am without feeing bad about waking the neighbors and it’s so lightweight it’s easier to move around than my self-propelled gas! I wish I would of bought the 12amp hour batteries though because with my large yard it eats up my 2 9amp In the back so I have to finish the front with the 2 5 amp hour batteries provided. Never will I use a gas mover thanks to DeWalt.

I love it for my small lawn! I had to get a feel for it at first with my super long grass (first mow of the year wasn’t until Easter) But it works amazing and now I am investing in the whole DeWalt 20v family! Money well spent!

Great mower. Lots of power. Folds up nicely. Absolutely love. Got an extra set of batteries just for backup and I can easily mow my lawn as well as the neighbors in under an hour.

Durable, with metal parts instead of plastic. Has done just as good of a job as my old gas mower. My yard is just a tad too big to get mowed in one battery charge, so I simply mow the front yard one day, and the back yard the next. One day I will upgrade to the 9.0 amp hour batteries and get it done at once. Controls are easy and simple, and it’s so much quieter. No more carb cleaning for me. I also love that I can fold it up and and stand it on end to save room in my garage. The only complaints I have are 1) the handle material will easily tear if you rub it on a fence or a tree. 2) the packaging it came in is weak, should be beefed up a bit.

Bought this to round out my dewalt cordless tools and don’t regret it! No more spilling gas, worrying about oil or how noisy it is. Super lightweight easy to use and does a great job. Only thing I wish is that the bag was a little bigger

Not as Powerful as I thought. The 5 Amp batteries included cannot run machine for very long (made 6 passes and started dying). I love my other outdoor Dewalt tools, however this one needs some work.

I have only used a handful of times and it seems to cut great! The batteries don’t last as long as I would hope but I have backups so I can keep going!

I am pleased with the mower itself. Cuts just fine. It bags the grass well. I was not impressed with using the rear discharge but i didn’t want to use that anyway. I mainly use the mulching attachment. I have to clean the deck frequently but that is expected. The biggest downfall with the mower is that it doesn’t have a lot of suction. I typically use lawn mowers as glorified vacuums in the fall to mulch up all the leaves and stuff. This just doesn’t suck things up like my old ICE mower. It is also kind of nice too because it doesn’t suck up sticks either. My problem came with the 2 20V XR 5AH batteries that came with it. First they don’t last very long which i was expecting. I only have a 1/4 acre lot in town and the batteries could only go through about a 1/3 of my lawn before needing to charge. The worst is how hot the batteries get. I don’t think the standard XR batteries were designed to discharge that much power that quickly because they are too hot to charge right away after use. The compartment where the batteries are placed doesn’t help much either. It’s right on top, black, and has very little ventilation.

I have a 1/3 acre of lawn and this mower does a great job but does require 4@ 5ah, and 4@ 3ah batteries to finish the job. I’d definitely buy it again. It is so much better than dealing with a gas mower – no gasoline, oil, problems starting, spark plugs, air cleaners, etc. I really like how quiet it is in comparison with a gas mower.

If you already already own some larger 60v batteries and you have a typical sized yard, this mower is perfect for you. I will never own another gas powered push mower again. Mower is well built, light weight and super easy to use. I love not having to pull start a cold engine. Has plenty of power and a great run time using two 9 amp hour batteries. The mower deck and bag are a bit smaller than a typical gas mower, which requires a few extra trips to the green waste can to get the job done. I don’t mind this. The trade off is you don’t have to pull start the mower every time you stop to empty it! Mower is not self propelled, but it is very light and easy to maneuver, so it really doesn’t need to be self propelled. Only complaint is I feel the batteries that come with the mower are a bit too small for this type of application. I didn’t even bother using them. Also, since 2 batteries are required for use, they should have included 2 chargers as well. Great product overall for people who have spare dewalt batteries and average sized yards.
