I recently moved and downgraded to a smaller yard. This mower gets the job done on just two batteries. That being said, if the grass is longer or if there are more a ton of leaves it will eat through the batteries. Luckily I also have the full line up of cordless tools and the batteries can be used interchangeably. This also allows be not to have to store gas, very nice for now having little ones running around.

The mower works great, and is light weight. For property less then 1/2 acre it is fine, and can mow the entire property if mulching. If you are using the bag it will only last for half the time before you have to charge the batteries. Very easy to use, there is not much to it. Because of the light weight, it is not hard to push, and a lot easy if mulching. The bag is kind of small, so when bagging expect to stop and empty quite a few times. This mower does cut nice and I would give it an excellent rating if it wasn’t for the small bag, and short run time. Oh and it is a little louder then my neighbors electric mower.

Got this great Dewalt mower about a month ago. I had been mowing my lawn in two stages (front and rear) with an electric corded mower, which worked, but was always a pain to swap plugs between front and back yard, but was doable. Began mowing with the Dewalt 2x20V mower, and was very pleased with the movement, and the weight (lighter than I expected) of the mower. I do have an average size, city lot, and the mower batteries fizzled out before I finished the job…but more testing is required to determine if this is a battery/charger issue, rather than a mower issue. Great experience thus far!

Could not be more pleased. This replaced a 36 volt Black and Decker. This is sooo light, it almost feels like the play lawn mower you give to your child so they can mow the lawn with you. I also do my neighbors yard from time to time; battery life is excellent.Only drawback: Dewalt supplies such great batteries, but only includes the one port charger. I sprung extra for the four port charger.When is the battery powered snow blower coming out?….lol

Kentucky grass might be a little too thick for this machine. The battery life was close to twenty min. The mower was quieter than a gas mower and ran very strong. Easy to store without the gas fumes. When this mower can run for 55 min as advertised through one weeks worth of grass. It will be a five star mower.

I’m pretty impressed with this mower. It is not self propelled, but it is light weight and easy to push. The blade goes quite far down and it can adjust quite far up also. There are two screws to put together for the handle, but the rest is assembled. The blade is good and sharp and the batteries are quite impressive. I have a 5,000+ square foot front lawn and one of the batteries went down only one mark and the other was still full. If I had any complaint, it would be for a larger grass catcher basket, but it fits the mower well and keeps it light. I just received this mower and have only used it once, but my first impression is that it is an excellent choice for large, flat or slightly sloped lawns. It works like a champ, the batteries are tremendous, and you get a bit of extra exercise in. It seems very well made.

Very nice mower. I did purchase the mower with the souped up max batteries. Good thing, because they are needed, for me, to complete mowing my back yard with one charge. (roughly 100 feet by 250 feet). The mower cuts well, is light weight, and the bag is easy to detach/attach. It is fairly quiet, and I have no thoughts about waking the neighbors by mowing in the early morning. I really like the fact that there are no fumes, and no need to run to the gas station, to refill the gas can.

A high quality well built mower packaged with two DeWALT 9 Ah FLEXVOLT batteries—a useful capacity upgrade. Advertised for mowing yards up to ¼ acre. The operative words are “up to.” Actual coverage by any battery powered mower depends on height, thickness and wetness of grass, sharpness of blade, cutting height setting, and use of bag or mulching attachment. Open discharge provides best coverage. Electric power reduces maintenance and avoids need to store gasoline. Battery powered design is substantially heavier than corded, but easier to maneuver around trees and shrubs. Features solid construction with easy to clean metal deck. (Battery cover is plastic.) Thoughtful design with two-height folding handle enables storage on end to conserve floor space. Lift handles are a useful back-saving feature. Mower is easy to maneuver with ample power. Cutting height is adjustable by a single lever, especially useful for changing settings on different parts of lawn. Front wheels are spring-loaded for smooth travel over bumps. Battery charge indicator is viewable while mowing. Includes a safety key that can be stored away from the mower if needed to control usage. Recommended for durable construction and thoughtful design.

The lawn mower was missing part and had to wait for vendor to see me missing part and is all thanking a small part and all fixed now. The mower worked for good and a grass bag and also grass attach to Mulche out the grass worth out using the bag not needed for it. It was nice to see the new type batteries 9.0 batteries and charger. The mower has a trigger key as a safety feature which keeps a nice feature also. My way to add here you might needed some time than 20 days to feature things when you have to wait for help for getting vendor to seen missing or missing parts

The quality construction of this mower is the first thing that catches your eye. It is well built and ergonomic! The bag is a big plus for more manicured yards. My favorite feature is the built in safety key that disables the mower to keep my toddlers safe around the unit when it is not in use. I thought I had to pull the batteries when not in use like I have to with my current cordless string trimmer. When I went to put it together I was amazed at how light the unit is! The push handle folds quick and easily &The grab handles are great for picking it up to store it. I also like the one handle for height adjustment. This mower is so much lighter than my previous lawn “tank” mower, an aluminum chassis self propelled unit. It is actually easier to mow grass with this mower than with my self propelled unit due to the weight difference. I did lose about 4″ of cutting width but I will gladly trade it off for the hassle free use. The battery life is perfect for my 1/4 acre yard. I will add a flex volt trimmer and leaf blower with more batteries on the same platform. This will get my garage rid of the gas smell and premix oil permanently! And the best part of changing over to cordless IT STARTS EVERY TIME! instead having to pull start gas engines with the anxiety of whether they will start. I could go on for days but if you want to switch from Gas to Cordless the technology is here and De Walt has a great platform with many different tools for you!
