Description
Cut through a variety of landscape overgrowth with the Pole Hedge Trimmer Head. It is compatible with the 20-Volt MAX Pole Hedge Trimmer (DCPH820) and 20-Volt MAX Pole Saw (DCPS620), both sold separately. Its 22 in. hardened-steel, laser-cut blades are engineered for clean, fast cuts on branches up to 1 in. thick. The 7-position 180° articulating head allows you to customize cutting angles for hedges of any shape and size.

I purchased the Dewalt pole saw (with 4.0 battery included) recently. I also wanted to purchase the Dewalt pole hedge trimmer, but unfortunately it has been out of stock for months.I was not aware that Dewalt carries the exact pole hedge trimmer head only, which attaches to the existing pole saw.Just screw on the hedge trimmer head instead of the saw head. Keep in mind, I don’t think Dewalt sells a Pole saw head. That means you will have to purchase the pole saw if you want to connect the hedge trimmer head. This Dewalt combination pole saw/hedge trimmer is a great innovation which eliminates the need to purchase separate pole tools.The hedge trimmer head and the pole saw head easily connect to the hand control extension pole for easy tool conversion for most hard to reach hedge trimming tasks. If your using the pole saw for cutting tree branches and need greater extension, you can attach the additional pole. This Dewalt tool allows for great versatility and ease of operation. I am able to trim all of my high hedges and lower hedge rows all with the 4.0 ah battery provided. As with many Dewalt garden tools, this tool feels solid and you can tell the build quality is excellent. The hedge trimmer can cut very thick branches and shrubs easily. The pole saw cuts branches better than some of the other saws I’ve used. and most important battery life is excellent. It is definitely worth paying a bit more for the quality and the unmatched reliability.

I used this once for some tree branches that I just could not reach with a ladder and chain saw. Much easier and safer to do it from the ground. It takes some getting used to on the balance and handling; but it is a nice saw for the money. I have several 20V max tools so I like that all my batteries are interchangeable.

I bought this for commercial use. Battery strength and overall ability to cut and cut for long periods of time was good. Couldn’t get over the amount of plastic on the build and the concerning amount of play in the articulation mechanism. I don’t think this would have held up to continuous use. I also tried the Makita and found it to be a much sturdier build.
