I recieved this as a gift four years ago and overall I am satisified with its performance. Its rigid construction and outer “cage” allow for it to be placed anywhere you go. The radio does allow for numerous battery types to be accepted so that it can be powered either via its own power cord or battery power, adding to its versatility (NOTE: Batteries cannot be charged using this radio, but given its size and other features it doesn’t detract from my rating). The door on the side hides an auxillary audio input jack and USB port, and the cavity is large enough to house a small music playing device such as a cellphone or iPod. However, since the radio is not Bluetooth enabled, you will have to purchase a Bluetooth reciever; but it can be stored and charged within the secret compartment on the side. The quality of the speaker on this radio is decent cosidering the pricepoint, though it would be nice to adjust the quality of the reception or playback settings for the speaker.
