Decent battery life while using, and decent amount of volume. Not much beyond that. No Bluetooth capability, even if you add a Bluetooth receiver the radio will need to be powered with 120v to use the usb on the side of the radio. The radio will not power this port on battery power. There have also been weird feedback sounds or frequency distortion that comes through the speakers depending on what you have plugged into the auxiliary or what your power source is(very annoying). It is pretty darn rugged but it could be louder for its size(especially with a bettery on the back.

Great radio. Wanted one that would play in my shop without having to place by a window. My shop has harder siding which is a concrete product and a metal rood with a radiant barrier underneath that so was hard for my older shop radio to get a signal. I’m able to place this one on an interior workbench. I did get better reception with it turned a certain way but that’s no problem with it. When using the scanner option didn’t always stop where I knew there was a station. Just got a list of my stations off the internet and tuned them in and used the preset buttons. I’m a happy camper with it
