The DCR025 is designed to be the most versatile Jobsite Radio Charger on the market. The unit is able to run off and charge all DEWALT slide pack battery packs including 20-Volt and FLEXVOLT packs at 3 Amp when plugged into an AC outlet. The unit is designed to include woofers, tweeters and air ports to provide clear and rich sound at all volume levels. An oversized device storage box protects devices from worksite conditions and includes an Aux and 2.1 Amp USB charging port for convenient device charging. 2 AC Power outlets on the side of the unit allow you to plug in additional tools or chargers without occupying additional outlets on the wall. AVRCP (Audio Visual Remote Control Protocol) allows you to control your device from the radio interface so you can keep the device in a safe place and skip to the next song or hit replay on the radio interface.

I’ve had DeWalt tools for more than 20 years. The 18v radio had poor reliability. It stopped retaining its memory even when I changed the internal button cell battery and the cord started coming out of the body of the radio. This 20v is even worse. I forget how the first one died – only worked on one power source not the other. Second one turned on randomly. Boyfriend told me there were voices in the cellar. Didn’t believe him. Then it happened to me. Turned out to be the DeWalt radio. When I had it intentionally turned on, it would turn off randomly too. The newer one sounds better but it still has that forced fake bass sound. I prefer to EQ it more flat so it doesn’t sound like booming plastic. I figure they let the intern design the radios because I loved my 18v tools and like to 20v. 18v durability could not be beat. The 20v drill is way too loud during normal use. It whines.

Best radio I have bought in a while. I love the fact that I can run it on a 20v battery or plug it in to an outlet and charge a 20v battery. It also holds its radio presets even with no battery connected.
