This is a great sounding radio, my 4 Hr. batteries last forever in it. Bass is awesome, well built, compact and easy to program and use. I have a bunch of tool company batteries and this is hands down my favorite.

It is well built. The reception is good. When it is connected to players through bluetooth or 3.5mm wire, the volume goes down significantly comparing with the volume when it is in radio mode. Thus, playing audio with this device through other resources is not very effective. Playing AM or FM as a radio is very good, but you have paid for other functions. Bought this radio for more than a month, hardly playing with bluetooth, because if I do, I will have to turn the volume up quite bit, and then it will bring up the noice level. I am thinking of returning it and exchanging to a radio only version of this product to save some money. Or I may just keep it and use it in a radio mode only if not that much money saved.

I bought this radio to replace an older one. I really like the bluetooth feature that connects very easily and the sound quality is great. Having the cordless or corded option is awesome and I can even charge my phone. I highly recommend this radio to enjoy your work day.

I’m in love with my new Dewalt Radio. It is not heavy and it is compact. I like that I can use with any other dewalt battery that I might be using on my drills. The feature of using it without a battery and just plugging it is a plus. However, you can’t use this radio to charge the battery, that needs to be done separately. It has a good reception when it comes to using FM radio as well. It has the outlets for my phone or an iPod. It makes my diy jobs easier. I would totally recommend.

20-Volt MAX Compact Bluetooth Radio (Tool Only) – I’ve owned several jobsite radios, Dewalt and other brands; all were okay to good but none were great. This radio is by far the best sounding of all of the others I have owned and has the best radio reception of the group. I really like that it has Bluetooth, it’s nice to play music from my phone without radio commercials. The radio has a USB charging port for recharging cell phones and it works on AC or battery; it does not charge batteries, but for me, I don’t need another charger.If I can nitpick about one thing, it is that there isn’t a place to store the detachable AC cord when not in use, a cord wrap would have been nice.

I just bought this radio and have had it less than a month. So far it has exceeded my expectations. It is a lot louder than my little magnetic blue tooth speaker it replaced. Battery life is excellent. Sound quality is ok. Probably not the radio for you if you are an audiophile as there is some distortion at higher volumes. There may even be better radios for less money. But the big selling point for me is that this is compatible with my large collection of Dewalt batteries. This thing will receive a lot of use in varying conditions. It will be used in my garage while doing projects, on the dock while we are swimming, and lots of use while on boat and UTV rides. Will update my review if this fails to pass the test of time or if my opinion of it changes.

This radio worked great for my needs. I loved the deep bass that this radio provided and the audio quality, it says it is a compact radio but it has some weight to it, it is like a kettlebell. If you want to raise it high, I would recommend two hands. This lost a star from me because the LCD has no battery indicator also the placement of the battery does not allow you to check the battery life. A solution would be to change the orientation of the battery . I used a 4.0a battery and having my music at 16 this played for over 3hrs and my battery had 3 bars. The usb is for charging only I could not play music from my phone with just the usb, I had to turn on the bluetooth. This uses a normal plug for the ac mode which is great. Suggestions for another model:Include a battery indicator on the lcd, allow control through tool comnect,on the sides have a phone holder, include an LED, while holding it I wish that this had a flashlight on it also a rafter hook. While using it on a jobsite I wished that iy had a hook so I could hang on blocking while working to prevent dust and debria from getting on it.
