I do specialty equipment sales and installs. We use 3/8″ and 1/2″ all threaded rods daily for our product installations. We have tried sawzalls, and band saws in the past and they cut great but not always a good finish thread after cut. The cordless rod cutter is the ticket! we can cut rods with 1 hand overhead and end up with a good clean cut thread and no pieces dropping on finished floors.There is no jumping of tool like a sawzall or no need for 2 hands like a band saw. I have been in the specialty industry installation now for 43 years and have pretty much seen or had it all. But this cutter is one of the best items I have ever purchased. I would recommend this to any contractor that wants to do a professional installation and also save on labor time and cost to purchase this product. I am impressd by they way Dewalt has stepped their game and taken over the market with great product at a great cost point!

My last dewalt impact lasted 7 years and I used it every day. This one has more power, a little heavier then my last one but I don’t mind. I’m sure the variable speed will come hand at some point but haven’t really used it much. It’s a great drill, 5 stars hands down!
