This was an excellent addition to my DeWalt tool set. I already own their larger, 700 ft-lb 1/2 drive impact wrench, which is great at getting the big jobs done. However, this smaller 3/8 drive impact is ideal for the little and moderate sized tasks. Its compact (actually more compact than the original impact driver drill) lightweight, and packs a powerful punch. Ive used it for removing seats, various engine components, and making quick work of repeated bolt settings. I would highly advocate this tool for anyone doing general automotive work or in the construction industry where you find yourself consistently putting in or taking out lag bolts. Battery run time is fantastic. I use a regular 2Ah battery for it and it can go without needing charged for probably near 100 or more bolting applications at full power torque downs.

I really like this. I have used these at work for years. I had the big 1/2″ 18 volt at first but it was so big and heavy it killed my shoulders. So we ordered 2 of the smaller impacts and they work very well. When I get some stubborn rusty bolts we will switch to the big one, but the torque on these is impressive.
