I have done lots of DIY project around my house and woodworking and found this multitool became an essential. It operates much quieter than other similar tools from other brand, but it doesn’t mean less efficient. It works nicely and precisely on every projects that I have done. I loved the trigger switch and lock capability, the super easy and quick blade change, LED light and depth control. Just perfect!

This tool is great for anyone from a pro to someone just starting out. We have used it for countless things around the jobsite over the last year. From trimming a little off a piece of trim, wood flooring, cutting a bunch of shims instead of using the utility knife. All in all, awesome tool

This might be my most used tool. From cutting out drywall to notching joists this tool can do it quickly and safely. Couldn’t function without it.

The best part of this is that you can change the blade in whatever angle you need when you have a tight space. The quick release blade makes it easy to change them when I’m working on a big project and I need to change from metal to sheet rock. Blades aren’t that expensive so it makes it easy to keep a few of them around

Bought over a year ago, and have used on several different projects since. Most recent project was doing a window sill repair. This thing ran like a champ to quickly and precisely remove whatever i needed to. Blade changes were as quick and easy as advertised.Cons: Is loud. Even outdoors, you’ll want to wear hearing protection. Also, under long use, the vibration will definitely be felt in your hands. Doesn’t dampen well. As another reviewer has pointed out, there is also a problem when trying to do flushcuts or similar on a flat surface. The front of the battery sticks out a little more than the blade does, causing it to be angled. Overall, giving it only 4 stars, due the battery issue, limiting usage of the tool for some things that my corded version doesn’t have a problem with.

I like the blade changing compared to another brand that had to have a Allen wrench, it took forever… it has great power and use it everyday

I have been in the trades my whole life. I have used almost every oscillating tool on the market and nothing beats the way this thing feels in your hand! I have had this particular tool for around 8 months and it still runs like the day I bought it! I use this thing daily… for EVERYTHING! Nice work Dewalt!!! Keep up the good work!

The Dewalt multi tool is useful for about any job and most multi tools don’t have a quick release trigger to change out heads like dewalt, which makes this product worth buying over other brands:

I bought this tool March 2019 and have found several uses for it. I had to cut out sections of the exterior trim that had rotted. I didn’t want to replace the whole piece because the rotted section was relatively small. The multi tool with a wood cutting blade made short work of cutting out the rotted section. More recently I pulled off some wall paper and found that the previous owner had butchered a wall board patching job. Using the sanding attachment on the multi tool, I was quickly able to sand the bad patches smooth and get the walls painted. I am very impressed by how many jobs I can tackle with this tool and how quickly I can get them done. The tool is relatively light weight but sturdy and powerful.

Bought this a few month ago and it has already paid for itself in the mount of time it took in the past trying to complete a project with the jig saw, reciprocating saw, or a hammer and chisel. Quick and easy blade change and versatile. Well made solid tool.

Ive had the same multi-tool for 3 or so years working professionally. Its held up to everything I put it through. A wonderful addition to any professionals or homeowners collection

I’ve had this multitool for a few months now and I certainly enjoy the flexibility that being cordless offers. It does have slightly less power than its corded counterpart, but for small projects I grab this tool in a hurry. The light helps when working in dim lit environments, and the variable speed trigger is great for doing precision work. If used for extended periods of time I have noticed the handle to get quite hot. For this reason and for having less power than I’d like I’ve given it four stars.

When it comes to getting a job done my guys are always looking for the multi-tool.

I bought it to help remove silicone from my shower, but I’ve used it for a bunch of things since. It got into small places to cut drywall. I’ve cut off nails. I even used it to sand. Admittedly, if you’ve got the space to use a different tool, those are probably better, but getting a reciprocating saw between fence posts was impossible and this little tool did the job great.

Replaced my B&W Matrix couple months ago for various door replacement projects in the house by this dedicated multi tool. Love the light and the layout that lets me easilly get to all sces without fiddling with the blade too much… Greaty tool!
