This 20-Volt MAX Brushless cordless 3-speed oscillating multi-tool includes a universal accessory adapter and 2 wood cutting blades to help get your project started. The DCS356 oscillating multi-tool has a powerful brushless motor providing up to 57% more run time over a similar brushed tool. The 3-speed selector allows users to choose their speed setting based on application. The Quick-Change accessory system allows you to change blades quickly and easily, and with the universal accessory adapter, it’s compatible with most oscillating tool accessories. The DUAL-GRIP variable speed trigger provides ultimate speed and application control. The DEWALT oscillating tool guide system allows you to customize the depth or height for accurate repeatability, and the bright LED light illuminates dark work spaces. Is the trigger safety lock a known issue or just my unit? I like to lock the trigger for safety while changing blades but mine is very difficult and often won’t engage. I Upgraded from the 355 which was fantastic, smooth operating.

I bought this 2 months ago because I really needed to trim some screws that had stripped and I thought I might have some other uses for it. Holy cow, I use it all the time. The precision cutting is great, whether it’s trimming wood, cutting screws/nails flush or plunge cuts into wood or drywall. It works so fast and smooth, uses the same batteries as my other tools and swapping out the blades takes longer to pick up the new blade than make the change. Feels solid, stable and well built while still being light enough to easily control and use in tight or awkward spaces.

This is a pretty awesome tool. I owned a Makita model XMT03Z oscillating tool and the blade change on the DeWalt is so much better than the Makita. The blade change is night and day and you do not have the potential of loosing any parts with the DeWalt like you do with the Makita. The DeWalt is extremely powerful as well. I would highly recommend the DeWalt oscillating tool over the Makita.

This a very good multitool. It is good for around the house jobs, like cutting out a electrical box in order to replace with a fan box. I have used this tool on cutting siding on a church. Their multiple uses for this tool and it was surpassed all others that I have used in the past (milwaukee & rigid). Highly recommend using a 4 amh battery.
