As both a Carpenter and a furniture maker, I realize the limitless abilities this tool has to offer. It allows you to make some very tricky cuts that would (in my opinion) be impossible or very challenging or time consuming. The brushless motor and 20v max battery is just another reason why these tools are the number one go too!

I own several other brands of this type of tool and even though this might not be the fastest and most powerful, I still grab it first because of the great ergonomics and the variable speed trigger control. The variable speed trigger is the most important feature to me but I also like the light and the quick blade changes. The trigger can be locked into full speed with a small switch above it which can easily be reached with one hand while in use and can be locked on by pushing it in from either side or in other words, either direction, kind of like changing directions on a drill but it only has the function of locking the trigger on. I didn’t think I’d like this tool as much as I do after reading comparisons but in use, I can’t discern any difference between it and my other oscillating tools that have better recorded performance. I also find that the 3 speed controls are good for slower speeds and being able to slowly increase OPM gives outstanding control for cutting things like plastics or aluminum with slower speeds.

Awesome tool! Very versatile. You will need a 5 amp battery pack, or bigger, for larger jobs.

I purchased this tool a few years ago and it has become my Swiss army knife for just about any job, whether I need professional results or just a hack job. It slices through drywall like a hot knife through butter and gives me the perfect cutouts I need (provided I measured 3-4 times beforehand). It works great in a pinch for cutting out termite damage when I don’t want to replace an entire length of baseboard or trim. Get a metal blade to slice through rusted bolts or screwed that just won’t budge any other way. It’s a great tool and I don’t know how I survived before it. Performs just as well as any brand I’ve tried it against, and the universal locking mechanism is sure nice so I can use any blade I want. Thanks DeWalt, keep up the great work!

I have a cabinet business and the DeWalt oscillating saw is my go to saw whenever I am on the job. Whether it is cutting out electrical boxes in the back of the cabinet or trimming the molding for a super tight fit, this is the saw. Its light weight small size gets it into really tight spaces. It will also makes nice clean cuts. I love this saw.

Got this multi tool after hearing how handy they are to have around. Boy, they weren’t lying! Have used it on tons of projects to make cuts I never would have been able to make with another saw, at least not with the ease that this thing does it! Best part is knowing that there will lots of other surprise uses for it to discover in the coming years!

I have had this tool for about 2 years. Used it a lot. My only complaint is that the heads that hold the bits to cut with break off the pins that hold the blades in place. Can’t seem to find replacements. I have 2 tools with same problem. The tool holds up good , except for the heads. I use it for work. If you were a casual user. Might be good. Not for the heavy user like me.

I have had this tool for over a year and it is one of my favorite tools. Use it all the time to cut PVC that already has wires in it and have never damaged a wire. Also great for trimming anything plastic like gate roller covers that are dragging the gate making annoying noise.

bought one of these when they first came out with a battery operated option. It finally stopped work about 2 months ago but, because of the versatility of this tool I already had a second one to replace it. Any time I start another remodeling job there are 4 tools that I grab first. First a 20 volt dewalt impact. Second the 60 volt cordless skillsaw. Third the 60 volf reciprocating saw and forth the oselating multi tool.

This is my first oscillating tool and have owned for less than a month and love it so far. Pros: Variable speed based on application, compatible with my other Dewalt batteries, easy blade change and light. Cons: A lot of vibration which makes me dizzy sometimes. Maybe I should wear thicker gloves.Time will tell on durability but seems well built.

I got a corded tool like the this one when they first came out with them and used it all the time. But when I replaced it with the Dewalt Cordless 3 speed it was like a whole new world of uses opened up. You can get into more places do more things and this tool works better and is way easier to change blades.
