I’ve had four previous models from other brands and none were as versatile as this one. It lasts longer, cuts and shapes better, and gets into spaces better. It’s been through a lot and has proven to be a GREAT buy.

An oscillating multi-tool is such a handy thing to have, especially this one now that it is cordless and has such an easy mechanism for changing blades. This is my go to tool for small simple sanding, cutting and scraping. I love that it uses the same battery as all of my other Dewalt 20v tools. Changing attachments is as easy as just squeezing the release. Very handy and convenient.

I bought this tool a few weeks ago. I use it almost daily. Love how it can cut wood or metal. A must for every household.

The 20v oscillating tool is a perfect tool for finish work with tons of power. It’s the most powerful oscillating tool I have, even compared to plug in models. I like the trigger lock feature which holds the trigger down if you need to use a different grip. I even use it for notching trim pieces and scribe cuts. Also this thing has taken quite a beating in my tool bag, and has even been dropped from a ladder, and still works perfectly. With the right blades, this tool can help you out of a jamb, or into a jamb if you’re doing flooring 🙂

I had the older model that did not have the 3 speed function. I had issues with the blade release wearing out as well as the vibration was off the charts. this new model the vibration is almost nothing when u begin cutting or sanding. The handle does not get scorching hot like the older model which is my favorite upgrade.

Pair this tool with a good blade and it is precise! I recently used this to shave a piece off a cabinet frame since it was a tab too big (maybe 1/16)for a sliding trash bin I made and it was perfect! I’m no professional but I love me some diy and this oscillating tool is definitly getting some use! Also, I’ve used this to trim a few branches, small ones at that. I know it’s not meant for that but it does say multi-tool haha. I haven’t used the multiple speed settings yet, I just use this on full blast.

Whether you’re cutting through some metal in a tight space, or crafting a custom wood project, this is THE tool. You will come up with uses for it when another tool is just not able to fit or accomplish the task, and occasionally can be used in a pinch where other tools might be more appropriate, but you don’t want to get a router setup out for one cut.I bought this multi-tool after a cousin stole my cheap harbor freight multi tool. I did a bit of research and wanted to go cordless anyway and already had some DeWalt and a red competitor’s tools. I took a look at what other multi-tools offered, and I had found the most frustrating part of using a multi tool was that it was obnoxious to switch tasks/tool-heads and required an allen key for most brands. The DeWalt offered the best solution I could find from a reputable brand. For me, the quick-change is what really makes this tool incredible. Being able to switch between a carbide blade for messy cuts, or switching back and forth between cutting and sanding is no longer a chore and allowed me to make quick work smoothing out some beautiful curves on a custom retrofitted door-frame in my older home. I recommend this tool to anyone I see using a multi-tool, and immediately point out is superiority. I got the full kit which comes with a screws that allows it to retrofit blades that aren’t optimized for the quick-change, and that comes with the precision spacing jig. To get the most out of it, stick to the quick change blades that come in the set, or grab an expanded set specifically made for it, they’re not that expensive from 3rd parties.

If you don’t already have one of these, stop what your are doing and get one. This is by far the most used tool I have ever owned and use it on pretty much every job/project I do. The oscillating multi-tool in general is just an all around problem solver. Add in the fact that this is cordless 20v with a light and this is up there with the hammer as greatest tool ever.
