I own a remodeling company for last 20 years. About 3 years ago, maybe 4 now??? I bought this saw because it was on sale and I thought it would do what we needed for 80% of projects. I have the MONSTER, as my crews call it, a double bevel, 12″ Dewalt mitre and they wont even bring out of the job trailer unless we have larger crown or something of larger side cutting. This saw is so portable, half the weight of the MONSTER and will cut up to a 2×6 without thinking about it(which is 90% of what we need it for). Put a 5 amp battery on it and good for all day unless you are using it a lot. I see the reviews are SPOT ON, just a great tool for contractors or DIY!Did I say that it uses the same blade size as our worm drives use!!!

When it came out it was amazing. Like normal Dewalt leads the market into something and sits on it. All the competition has came out with more power and dual bevel and work better now. Yes it is not as cheep but you could at least come out with a second model that stays up with them or ahead of them. If you want to be the best you have to stay ahead.

I have not used this saw that much so far but the few times I have it has done the job well. If this miter saw lasts as long as my other Dewalt miter saw then it will again be a great purchase.

Was looking for a compact miter saw to complement my full size (12″ model). This is it! In fact we only use the big saw for large projects after getting this. It does everything on an average job. It is powerful, battery lasts a long time. The light and blade cut guide works well. Wanted a compact saw for light weight… Another win! Very light even with the mounting brackets for stand. The built-in handles make it easy to carry at the worksite. Not a single complaint.

I was getting tired of dragging out my 10″ compound miter saw for small jobs, so I picked up this gem of a tool. The power and accuracy is great and includes all the great features that other Dewalt saws include, simple and quick angle adjustments, etc. Obviously with a 7 1/4″ blade your not going to be able to cut through 4×4’s in a single pass; however, a few simple rotations and you’re done and with accuracy. This saw has now become my goto for all kinds of jobs and I love it!

This saw cuts everything I need as a condo owner with a small workshop need. I was amazed with the speed and depth of cut, the slide and angle cuts are great. It wont cut 4×4’s but it will everything else I need. Highly recommended for a small workshop with no power outlets !
