I bought this saw to fill a niche in my tool lineup. I wanted a small miter saw that had a greater cutting capacity than just that of a 7 1/4” or 10” miter saw. The slide action gives me that extra cutting width. The saw is light and compact; the only downside I find is that it only bevels one way.

I bought my sliding miter saw with hesitation, thinking it would be under powered, but the need for mobility to do some quick trim work forced my hand. Boy was I wrong, I should have done this as soon as it came out. Great cuts, not under powered and accurate. this saw has saved me so much time in set up and being able to not lug around cords for quick repairs.. I highly recommend it.

Guys laughed at me in line thinking it was to small. I use it all the time, no rollout. I thought I would miss my 12 sliding mitre saw. I was wrong. I’ve done 9/16 solid bamboo flooring whole floors. The power is there. It’s never bogged down yet. Crisp and clean cuts with a sharp blade. I use the 9 ah battery . It lasts for 2 days of heavy cutting. On easy duty it lasts for a month . I do lots of trim. I have yet found base or casing that I can’t easily cut flat. This saw and my cordless 16, 18 gauge Dewalt nailers are my favorite, flawless tools. It’s easy and cheap to buy blades for since it’s 7 1/4”. For the vast majority of residential remodel finish products ( 3/4 , 1 1/2) this saw will work really well . Less load in, pull the battery out!

Very nice product for what I required – 5.5″ ship lap siding install with clean cuts for joints. Very happy with the purchase.

I was impressed at how quickly I was able to check and fill the car’s tires. It worked like a charm. No hunting down a tire inflator that actually works at the gas stations.

It cuts nice and cleanly. It is very accurate right out the box too. No problems with it so far.I love the fact I can use my flexvolt batteries in it too.

Really convenient to have alongside my corded dewalt 12” miter saw. The 12” is great for the big projects, and I love it too but if your doing minor framing for other projects this gets all that done on just 1 battery.

The machine is light, compact, reasonably-priced for a cordless and has so far handled building a 10×30 deck and more than a 20 reconstructed trim pieces on a Victorian house.I matched it to a Makita saw stand which took some head-scratching, but it worked.Overall, it’s a great saw. The 7 1/4″ blade is a big attraction because you can buy them anymore and it’s big enough for most 2x.One feature that would be helpful would be an adjustable stop on the down-stroke. With that, you could make short dadoes.I’ve had the saw for about two months and use it almost daily. It has yet to run out of power although I do charge it at the end of the day. I am a professional carpenter.

I volunteer with Rebuilding Together doing a bit of home repair and I think this saw is perfect. It easily fits into my apartment storage locker and my van. It saves time since I don’t have to find an outlet. I used it for 4 hours repairing a deck cutting 2×6 boards and then for cutting indoor stair handrails and the battery still had 3 bars. I can use the same 7 1/4 inch blades I have for my circular saw. The battery and charger work my other DeWalt 20 volt tools.

I have owned this saw for approximately 1 1/2 years and have used it for several projects; it has made my fencing, decking and pathway projects much easier and faster compared to using a corded saw; it is powerful, lightweight and easily handles complex jobs; because I also own several other Dewalt 20v tools, I always have extra batteries for completion of jobs; I plan to continue to use this wonderful tool for many years to come.

Powerful light weight saw. I have used it to make alot of cuts on 2x4s and 2x6s. Mounted on the small Dewalt stand with the slideout board supports. Much easier for me to move than my 12 slider.
