Really impressed with just how much dust is sucked into the bag. That sure helps in an enclosed space.

Overall, very happy with the purchase. The dust-catcher is a nice feature, and the sander does a great job on surfaces. The only frustrating design element is the on/off switch — the switch is shrouded by a rubber covering, which can make it challenging to acquire if you want to quickly turn the tool off. It’s a good tool, but I would have personally liked to see a trigger-style on/off button similar to other DeWalt designs.

Great . Lightweight . Works great for trim and lighter cuts Can’t push it too hard on thicker stock but will cut it . Just hit it so still getting to know it

Have used this alot and does a great job. Pros and cons to having it battery operated. I like the flexabilty of not messing around with a power cord, but I go through batterys really quickly… I dont know if the sander drains the battery really quickly or if i need to buy new batterys! I like the setting to change power output from low to more powerful.

This sander works well overall. I only gave it 4 stars because the dust bag sometime loosens and pops off. I have yet to find a good solution to attach it to my dust collection systems, but as a cordless tool i prefer the no cords/hose approach.

About as good as a battery powered sander gets. Almost performs as well as corded sanders

I can’t stress how much I love this sander. Anyone who does frequent woodworking can attest to how annoying it is having to walk around a work piece dragging a cord. I asked for this for Christmas shortly after Dewalt released this sander and purposely held off on making a review until I had sufficient experience with it. With a 4 or 5 amp hour battery you will get a decent amount of sanding on a charge, however this isn’t a tool you will get a lot of extended use out of if you only have 1 or 2 batteries. I have a fairly large collection of batteries and chargers so I never have any down time waiting for batteries to charge. I don’t have any sort of dust collection system yet in my workshop to hook this too, but I can say that the dust collection bag it comes with misses a fair amount. However, that isn’t any different than any other sander I’ve owned.

It’s a small battery operated miter saw. It’s amazing. It cuts up to 2×8 lumber and is great for those tailgate construction jobs. Everytime I use it I wonder why it took me so long to get one. Whether it’s in a crawl space or on a rooftop, this gets the job done. Upgraded to a Diablo finish blade for everything.
