The DCS367P1 20-Volt MAX XR COMPACT Reciprocating Saw has a compact and lightweight design for making cuts in confined spaces like in between studs. With a 1-1/8 in. stroke length and a variable speed trigger delivering up to 2,900 strokes per minute, this saw is fast and efficient. It also features a keyless, lever-action 4-position blade clamp for quick and easy blade changes in 4 directions for a variety of applications including flush cutting. A bright LED light is included to illuminate dark work areas.

The blade holder does not hold the blade firmly when in the vertical position unless you are using a thick blade. Therefore there is a lot of blade wobble.

This cordless brushless 20 volt Max reciprocating saw was a Christmas present from my wife, but I picked it out. I haven’t used it too much, but researched it quite a bit and my expectation is high. I did make a few cuts outside on branches and small dead wood in the woods and yard, when you don’t want to use a chain saw. Quick cuts and plenty of power. It is compatible with batteries for my drill and driver set also.

I have now both battery and electric, The battery power is still not as comparable to electric. I was cutting a 1 inch square tube only 1/8 thick or so, I needed rotate the tube all four sides in order to cut through, the battery power just didn’t have the oomph behind it a my electric does.

I’ve had this saw for about a year and I love it. The compact size is the greatest feature. I didn’t really think it would make a difference but the truth is, size matters! It is super handy whether using on a ladder or under a deck. It has saved me so much time and effort. I highly recommend this saw.

At first I was a bit hesitant to buy this saw because I thought with it being shorter I might lose some leverage, after using the saw I love it!!! I was able to get into a tight spot my older standard size saw wouldn’t have worked. The multi position blade is a very handy feature. It certainly does not lack power.
