This batter will get you through whatever task you need. Even for tools such as an angle grinder, which is known to eat up battery life, it is great. The extra capacity goes a long ways. My biggest complaint is twofold. First, the price. I think that this battery should be substantially cheaper due to the FLEXVOLT batteries being more common these days. If the costs are the same between this and the FLEXVOLT battery, I would buy the FLEXVOLT. Even if you do not own any FLEXVOLT tools, by having the battery, you open yourself up to a whole new line of Dewalt tools, while still getting the same performance in the 20v line. My second complaint, which is part of the first complaint, would be that there is no real need for this specific battery. The smaller amp hour batteries make sense, as they wouldn’t really power a FLEXVOLT tool, but something of this size, they should just sell the FLEXVOLT only. I received one of these in a promo when buying the oscillating tool, which I love, but I have little use for 6.0ah on an oscillating tool. A good battery for sure, but if you have the choice, even for a few dollars more, go the FLEXVOLT route. One day you may find you want to upgrade some of your tools, and you will already have the batteries to do so.
