Everything about this tool is an upgrade over the single speed 18V die grinder I bought this to replace. – Balance and noise are improved- Variable speed improved control.- Ergonomics of the switch and tool handling are better.- weighs less- runs longerBUT why on earth did DEWALT not give this thing a tool-less chuck like my old 18V unit? Now I have to keep track of the wrenches and fumble around with 2 wrenches + die grinder to change the grinder bit out. Disappointed, but the other features more than make up for it, so I gave it 4 stars.
