The DCS374B Cordless Band saw is ideal for cutting schedule 40 pipe, uni strut or all thread. This tool allows you to take the band saw to the work. No need to be tied to the bench or a cord.

I really like the tool, and being battery powered works great in remote locations. My only gripe would be the black blade guards are plastic and the ones on my chorded model are metal. Overall I’m a dewalt guy tool works great for iron work and pipe and batteries last longer than expected.

Everything about this tool is an upgrade over the single speed 18V die grinder I bought this to replace. – Balance and noise are improved- Variable speed improved control.- Ergonomics of the switch and tool handling are better.- weighs less- runs longerBUT why on earth did DEWALT not give this thing a tool-less chuck like my old 18V unit? Now I have to keep track of the wrenches and fumble around with 2 wrenches + die grinder to change the grinder bit out. Disappointed, but the other features more than make up for it, so I gave it 4 stars.
