Dewalt, being the best name on the market, always comes thru. All of their power tools are the toughest and sturdiest, the batteries are no different. They are pricey, but the last. I definitely would give them a 10 rating, for excellence.

The saw is not very smooth cutting. It seems to have two speeds, low and high, not extremely variable. If you are doing demolition or work where there is no electricity, it works ok. My 20 year old Craftsman corded saw does a better job and is more precise. The oversize battery is a plus as it fits my other Dewalt tools. Quick blade change is nice. Overall, kinda disappointed.
