Reasonable hand saw: does the job right out of the box. Note that this comes with no accessories, but I already had the cordless screwdriver from the same set and those batteries work great with this saw.

First is my first circular saw this is light weight and easy to use. I built a work bench out of 2×4 for less than $30 of material.

I bought this saw back in May of 2020. Like many of us during that time I was stuck at home when the country was on lockdown. My wife put me to work on some projects and I knew a circular saw was going to be one of the main tools I needed. I have a corded Dewalt circular saw but thought this would be a lot more handy not having to deal with the cord working in my shop. My only concern going into was going to be battery life. I have never really put this saw to work for extended periods of time, so I don’t have a real good idea of what battery life would be like from start to finish. However I used this with a 3AH battery to make 14 cuts in a 2×6 and the battery only lost 1 bar. I have a large collection of Dewalt batteries and chargers so having to swap batteries will never be a problem. Power is not that of a corded saw, but if you understand that going in you will not be disappointed.

Excellent cordless circular saw. Does go through batteries fast, keep a backup charging

Sawzall is amazing with all kinds of power. If the blade gets pinched it destroys the blade because the saw just keeps going with very little kickback and the battery last forever it seems. The skill saw works as it should also but I’ve cut nothing horrible with it yet just a pile of new framing 2×4’s and a couple sheets of plywood but it cut threw everything as any new saw should.

I’m a 65 year old retired DIY type guy. I build things like a woodshed, toolshed, benches, picnic tables, etc, for myself. I’ve used this saw quite a bit and the things I like about it are that it’s small, light, and easy to adjust the blade. However, the blade that comes with it is mediocre and I’d recommend replacing it with something of higher quality such as a Diablo. And then there’s the battery, which, in a word, is pathetic. If I cut, say, a dozen 2x4s or maybe 8 2X6 boards, or just a few longer rips, or thicker boards, the battery is shot. And it’s definitely not a defective battery, because I have 4 of them, bought with other Dewalt tools. It just doesn’t have much staying power. So, for light jobs it’s fine — just have spare batteries handy and keep your charger nearby. The one thing I will say in favor of the batteries is they charge quickly, in 20-30 minutes. So pop them in the charger and have lunch and you should be ok. Obviously I wouldn’t recommend this saw for professional use except as a backup, but for a guy like me, it’s ok. Not great, but I can live with it.

Useful saw. Glad I bought this rather than the 7.25″ I was also considering. This one is lighter and smaller and easier to use. Left side blade is different but not hard to adjust to.

Great tool. Only assembly required was installing the blade and it was ready to go.

I purchased the Saw without a Charger because I have a DeWalt’s Charger and it worked perfectly . I am very pleased with my purchase.
