didnt know I could cut that straight- i have a table saw, but never used it before, probably never will now.. ordered 2 sets of track, one for 45 and other odd degrees and one for 90, but really only need one short section to be honest..

Excellent track saw. Almost as good as my Festool. Only complaint is that it advertised a 9 amp battery and came with only a 6 amp.

This saw is great. I use it to cut plywood and cabinet panels. It cuts a very straight line with little effort.

I initially bought this track saw after reading up on the other options available. The riving knife was an important feature for me. I initially bought the ~46″ DeWalt track but was super frustrated when I couldn’t get it to cut right consistently. The overhang on both ends are vital for cutting sheets of plywood. After reading reviews, it was recommended to skip the DeWalt tracks and buy a Festool one instead. Holy smokes did that make a difference. The DeWalt clamps even work with the Festool track. Couldn’t be happier now. Serves multiple steps in fewer motions. Definitely a buy with this combination.

Works awesome. No more crooked or wavy cuts, only perfectly straight ones.

Upgraded from the corded to the cordless track saw and no regrets. This has the cutting rpms and very strong. We build farmhouse tables and this saw is accurate. No complaints. If you cut a lot, get a 2nd battery

This track saw kit is another fine Dewalt tool. This brand never disappoints. It makes high quality, dependable power tools. Am happy to add another Dewalt to my power tool group. This one is called the Flexvolt. It is a 60 volt cordless lithium ion track saw. It has all the features that make this saw the one to buy. There is a brushless motor, and anti kickback feature. The track makes all the difference in cutting a straight line on a plywood sheet. The six and a half inch saw blade is close enough to the standard seven inch. The depth and bevel are adjustable. There is a port for dust to be collected with a shop vac. This kit comes with one battery and the charger. There is also a heavy duty plastic carrying case. It is a little over nineteen pounds, but being on the track it’s fine.

I found this track saw kit much easier to work with than a table saw because it is portable and can be easily used outside to avoid the mess that a table saw can make with all the sawdust in the workshop. This track saw makes long, precise cuts faster and better than my table saw or my circular saw. I really like how portable this is, and I don’t need wood clamps like I do with a table saw. The carrying case (see picture) is well-made with plenty of extra room even after you put the saw, battery, and fast charger in the case. This all set up quickly and accurately, and it made a very smooth cut. The 59” track (see picture) that comes with this set has nice rubberized strips to hold the track in place on the wood without using clamps, and the saw fits tightly on the elevated center piece of the track for straight line cutting (see picture). It can also make angled cuts as well, up to 45 degrees. Another plus I found was the fact that the saw was battery powered so there was no power cord to get in the way (or get cut! Oops!) (see picture). Another benefit to it being battery powered is that it can easily be used at a job site which does not yet have commercial power – no generator needed! This track saw package includes the battery-powered saw, the track used for guiding the saw, a heavy duty 60 Volt 6 Ampere battery, and a rapid charger which all fit in a large carrying case with a top handle (see picture). The lithium battery has a protective red cap (see picture) to prevent the battery from getting shorted inadvertently. That is a very good safety feature considering a shorted battery could explode or cause a fire at the very least. The charger is easy to use and it has a built-in fan which keeps the battery cool while charging (another good safety feature). The track has to be carried separately, but it is well-made and should hold up well in normal use. The track was shipped with a matching size piece of fiberboard so I secured the fiberboard to the track with large rubber bands to help keep the track protected. I highly recommend this track saw package –it is well worth the cost in the long run when you consider how portable it is, the quality of the blade cut, and its ability to operate without commercial power!

I recently burnt up my festool track saw. It was nearly cheaper to buy this kit vs. having the festool repaired. This saw is more powerful, I’m not hogging down the motor like my old corded saw, appears to cut as accurate. It still runs on my festool rails but I actually like the Dewalt 2-sided rail much better. I have one side set for 90* cuts and the other set for 45*. This was my first flexvolt purchase and I’ll be investing more in the platform.

Saw works well, but they need to come up with a more accurate way of measuring how to locate the track and figuring the width of the blade. I would suggest they come up with a measuring tool to locate the track.

Wow, I never really knew I needed a track saw, until I got one! I am always ripping boards and plywood with my table saw and my handheld circular saw. In fact, one of the things I do the most is cut slits in plywood when building items like tables. This tool has saved me massive amounts of time, and the cuts are way more accurate and straight than they have been with traditional methods.Usually when ripping plywood with the circular saw, I would clamp a straight edge where I needed it and then run the circular saw down my straight edge. This worked great a majority of the time, however, prep and setup were onerous and took valuable time. If this is you, I would look into this track saw setup.Cordless all the way! The convenience and the ease of this being cordless is fantastic. I can get right to cutting without finding extension cords and all that. Just set my track and I am off. Adjusting the blade depth was a little tricky for me at first, I had to play around with it to see, because without engaging the trigger, the blade doesn’t plunge… or maybe it does.. not sure. Sometimes I was able to get it and other times I wasn’t. I noticed that the plunge depth did not account for the thickness of the track, so I had to adjust my cuts slightly for this.I have 2 minor complaints that I cannot dock a star for, but here they are. This setup only came with a 59 inch track, I could really use the longer track. I rip 8 foot sheets often. As a workaround until I can find a longer track, I cut a length, then slide the track to the next position, and start again. Definitely not a deal breaker. My 2nd compliant is the charger. It is LOUD. Like, noticeably annoying loud. This is okay because it is located in my shop, so I don’t care that much – but if someone was charging in the house, it could get to you after a minute. All in all, what a great tool! This is a great addition to my workshop and will get plenty of use in the next few years.

This is my first tracksaw I’ve purchased in 13 yrs being a carpenter. I wish I knew about them earlier! Amazing for accurate quick cuts in plywood, and dust control works great with my Festool dust extractor.Great value, when I buy another it will be a corded festool only for power, and better dust collection. If you can’t decide, buy the Dewalt. You won’t regret it.

I have used the festool and makita saws both measure the depth of cut in metric. Dewalts is in imperial measurement. But a straight factory edge every cut.

I have always had a problem cutting a section off, of a 4′ x 8′ sheet of plywood. I usually use a portable circular saw, with a 7 1/2″ dia. blade. I also secure a straight edge to the plywood so the circular saw can follow a straight line. Even with that, the saw will sometimes bind, kickback, or scew off the straight edge & ruin my straight cut. I used this Dewalt Track Saw Kit to cut a 4′ long section off of a 4′ x 8′ x 3/4″ sheet of plywood. The cut couldn’t have been easier, or smoother. No kick back, no blade binding, no scewing off of the cut line. The saw did not labor during the cut. I pushed the battery check button, on the battery. It showed no apparent use, even after that last cut. I could have probably cut all day, with the powerful 6.0 AH battery. The special 59″ long guide rail, for this saw, provided more than enough length to completely cut through the 4′ wide plywood sheet, end-to-end, with one pass. I didn’t need clamps to hold the guide rail to the plywood. The guide rail has 4 rubber type strips, secured to the bottom, that run the length of the guide rail. They held the guide rail securely to the plywood sheet, with just the weight of the saw. A 102″ long guide rail is also available, or two 59″ guide rails, can be attached together, using their special connector. The comprehensive, easy to understand instruction manual covers every detail of the product including trimming back the splinter guards on the guide rail. The saw has 2 rail adjustment knobs on it’s bottom plate/shoe. When I adjusted them, it kept the saw running smoothly, along the guide rail, without binding, or weaving. I used #7, the highest speed adjustment for the blade, to easily cut through the plywood. The saw can cut up to 2.3″ deep, with the guide rail underneath. It will also cut up to a 47 degree bevel. The depth & bevel cut scales are highlighted in yellow & very easy to read. Before I made a plunge cut, I released the anti-kickback knob on the saw baseplate/shoe. I slowly lowered the saw into the cut. It did not kickback. The saw blade can easily be changed by pressing the spindle lock button, located on top & next to the on/off power trigger & main handle. It permitted the blade to be lowered into the change position. The spindle lock lever, next to the spindle lock button, holds the lowered blade unit in place, while the blade could be changed with the included Allen wrench. It took just minutes for the fast recharger to recharge the Lithium Ion battery. When I transported this track saw kit out to the job site, all components securely stayed in their pockets, in the heavy duty carry case. Everything worked flawlessly. This is a heavy duty, professional, highest quality power tool.

I have had this for almost a year. I have used the corded version. The case is great as well.

If you understand the saw and how to use this, you can’t go wrong. This is a great tool. Since it’s battery powered, there no cord to think about. Cuts are right on, if you know how to use the tool. Worth every dollar!
