The DEWALT DCS565 20V MAX* 6-1/2 in. Circular Saw is ready to take on a variety of cutting applications with a combination of performance and versatility. It features a powerful brushless motor that delivers 4,950 RPM for fast, accurate, and consistent cutting. Tool-free depth and bevel adjustments provides a max depth of cut of 2-1/8 in. at 90° along with a max bevel of 50°. This saw is equipped with a Magnesium shoe, built-in rafter hook, bright LED , and optional dust chute. Battery and charger sold separately.

I really like this package. It has two good sized batteries. The charger is nice if you need an extra one. But if you buy sets like I do, you tend to get more chargers than you need.And the tool bag that comes with it is larger than the ones that come with the two drill set. So I use it for my tools and carry my extra batteries in the smaller bag.

Great saw for the right use cases. Which for me is a trim saw that is light so it can be operated with a single hand in overhead and vertical applications, has good run time, and enough power and depth to cut 2x material or 2″ of stacked OSB. Has all the features for this use – I really like how light it is, blade left, the ergos are great, controls are as you’d expect, has a must have rafter hook, the shoe is heavy duty, and the LED is useful. When comparing to the Makita and Mil Fuel the Fuel seems to have more power (doesn’t bog as much when pushed hard) and both have slightly better build components (mag blade guard vs plastic on the dewalt and the controls just are not quite as smooth out of the box). When comparing to the Fuel with the heavier Mil batteries (Mil batteries weight approx 4oz more than similar Makita and Dewalt ah batteries), and its bigger motor, this saw and the makita are noticeably lighter. Overall if you’re in the yellow family, want a light trim saw that can do most jobs, is blade left, and has all the features then this is an absolutely great saw for you!

The batteries last much longer than my 2ah batteries although the footprint is wider than those of the 2ah and 5ah batteries. This isn’t an issue at all except that if you are using some of the older 18v tools with a converter, the 6ah battery doesn’t fit unless you cut off two extra plastic ridges on the casing.

Great price, great product. I’m now committed to DeWalt’s cordless product line. So far none have disappointed me at work and the run times on the new batteries is excellent. I have not timed them, but they seem to last and last. It is too early to tell what the re-charge time is.
