Cordless circular saw is by far, the best investment!

Needed to do a demolition at a site without power; doing the job perfectly.

Saw is awesome! Very portable and much more advanced than my 18v 6-1/2” model. Has easy to operate depth and bevel levers, and the hook is a nice feature for site work. Comes with a decent carbide blade featuring anti-vibe slots. Unfortunately I only have the regular 20v batteries now so I’ll be limited in #of cuts per charge but I normally only do a few at a time so worst case I’ll just need to make sure I have the other battery in the charger at all times but NBD for now. Only downside is that if doesn’t come with rip fence; that’s why I gave it a 4 star rating.

I bought the 20V cordless Dewalt saw because I needed a tool that could handle cutting in an area that was far from any receptacle. The nearest receptacle was over 100 feet away. The saw performed beautifully with a good blade at hand.

Great saw! Lots of power, cuts thru lumber like butter. Still not used to right side blade (previous model was left).

It’s nice and handy and not as loud as other electric saws. Good buy!

This DeWalt DCS573B 7-1/4″ Circular Saw when paired with the newer Flexvolt batteries eliminates the need for a power cord and extension cords. It’s not a scaled down saw from any aspect. It is powerful, delivering 5,500 RPM. In one direction it is capable of up to a 45 degree angle cut; and 22.5 degree in the opposite. Missing is the parallel fence and hold down screw. Included is a self-storing wrench for blade changes. The little wrench is fairly short and not all that useful as I could not get enough leverage to loosen the bolt using it. On any job, a proper sized wrench or socket is readily available. I have two DeWalt circular saws but this saw requires a different fence. At some point in the future I hope DeWalt decides to include the fence, an essential part of every circular saw. Most circular saw owners have their preferred variety of blades for various types of material and finish. The 24 tooth framing blade included with this bare tool would not be my choice. On the sample cut, a significant amount of paint from the blade came off.Overall I am very favorably impressed with this saw. I plan to make it my “go to” saw; and leave the cord behind.

More torque than a regular electric hand saw! Dewalt did not disappoint, I already had the 20 volt drill and it just made sense to add this saw to my tool box. The base is thick aluminum (weight savings), it’s easy to adjust for angled cuts. The wrench is perfectly stored in the base, blade install is easy and had no slippage when being used. My favorite feature is the slot in the back that allows saw particles to be dumped away from you and off to the side. Well thought out and worth the price. If there was a down side is that it’s on the heavy side but I assume that’s the price of a high torque motor.

It works great with all the other DeWalt tools I have. It’s nice that it isn’t a corded tool as I just have a small cabin in the area with out power. So I can run a small generator to easily charge the batteries while I use the saw and other battery powered tools for cabin projects.

Just bought this saw a few weeks ago and it is absolutely awesome, have used it to cut 3/4” plywood and she cuts smooth as silk, powerful and quiet.

Excellent power and quiet compared to my old cord saw, though a tad on the heavier side!

This Flexvolt cordless could be a replacement for your corded circular saw. This review is for the bare tool, so that means there is no battery or charger included. I am a very capable DIYer, not a builder, so I can’t comment on daily use and longevity. I tested this saw on pressure treated lumber which is more challenging for a saw than your typical dried lumber.First thing to note- this saw is heavy once you add the flexvolt battery; It’s a little lighter with a traditional 20 volt, but not enough to really matter. With battery it weighs in at 11 pounds, that is 2 pounds more than a similar competitor’s model using the same 9 amp battery. Carrying this up and down a ladder may be a consideration for you. This model includes an installed rafter hanger, which was pretty useful. I was able to hang the saw on lumber while I measured, etc, which eliminates the up and down or tripping on the saw accidentally. The included blade was ok for rough work, it is a thin kerf blade which was difficult to track straight on wet lumber, but was fine on dried 2×6’s . This saw operated as well as my corded saw during my test cuts . I did go a little slower but I did not baby the cuts. Operating time will vary by the battery you use and amp hours, so my run time may be different than yours. I was able to make 39 cuts on a charge using a 9 amp flexvolt battery This is a really nice saw and I like that this accepts standard 7 1/4 inch blades, You can purchase a similar kit with 2 batteries which you may want to consider, but if you already have other dewalt tools this is a great way to add a really useful additiona that I am sure you will use often

I really like this DEWALT 20-VOLT MAX LITHIUM ION CORDLESS BRUSHLESS 7-1/4 IN. CIRCULAR SAW WITH FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE. I have always used corded Dewalt saws and this is the first time I have used a battery saw. I absolutely love it and will probably not go back to a corded saw. First, the battery life is phenomenal. I did not have to charge the battery once the first day after moderate use. Forgetting to charge it that night, I got another half a day out of it the next day. Second, it is light and easy to handle. Third, I like the guard set up. It does not bind up when you are cutting on angles. Fourth, the blade brake is awesome. It stops very quickly after letting go of the trigger. Fifth, it is very easy to use and comfortable. Not having to drag a cord behind you or worry about cutting the cord is a big plus. Great product.
