Recently my corded saw had kicked the bucket. over the years over the years I had been purchasing many blades just so I can have a wide assortment and back up when needed. I had also been dreaming of the day that I can go cordless. Well when my saw finally cut its last board I decided it was time to invest in a cordless saw as a replacement. I initially went out and purchased the DeWalt 20 volt 6.5 inch blade saw not really thinking that I was currently sitting on a rather large Supply of 7.25 inch blades that would no longer be of any use to me. When I got home I tried out the song and was rather impressed by the power that it had. I used it for about 2 weeks and the type of lumber I was cutting through varied and so did the effectiveness of the saw. It all had to do with the amount of cuts and whether or not it would bog down the motor. During the Black Friday Christmas season I was walking through the store and seeing the display for the Flexvolt saw. Wow was that pricey and the 60v batteries were even worse… so I so I started doing the math and pricing out new blades that fit the 6.5 inch saw I recently purchased and realized how close the difference was between buying new blades and what I already paid for the saw verses the Flexvolt saw, which i already had tons of extra blades for. Then I noticed an in-store special where are you purchase the flexvolt saw kit with 20v/60v Fast Charger, 60v battery, and carry bag, AND get a $150 60v battery FREE.. so without a second thought I purchased the kit and the next time I ran to town I returned the 20 volt saw for a full refund. The flexvolt system is unbelievable. The 60v batteries work on all 20v tools but the 20v batteries do not fit the Flexvolt tools.. that’s fine with that’s fine with me because I do not see myself buying the smaller 20 volt batteries to use in the 60v Flexvolt tools but at least my 60V batteries allow me to use them in my other 20V tools. This new Flexvolt saw of mine is by far the best cordless tool I own. It’s extremely powerful and I cannot tell much of a difference if any When comparing it to a corded saw. No More cords. I love it. I highly recommend getting this saw even if you cannot find the special with the extra free battery. But I must say that was an excellent deal to get that battery for free. About a week later I went out and purchased the flexvolt grinder kit and received the same special where I got an additional battery for free. Take advantage of this offer while it is still available. I would give it 10 Stars if I could

The power of corded? Maybe so for general use. I was was able to kill 2 batteries pretty quick cutting a set of yellow pine stair stringers. For normal use its great and has the most power of any cordless saw I’ve used. Handle position is a little higher up than a corded saw because of the battery. Still getting used to the safety switch. Freedom!
