I recently bought two of these DeWalt 9 Ah Lithium Ion battery packs as back up batteries for my DeWalt mower as well as the other DeWalt battery-powered tools I have (chain saw and circular saw). It is great having the extra capacity so that I do not have to worry about whether I will run out of power. The batteries come with a protective cover (see picture), and there is a battery status button on the side so you always know the level of charge. I highly recommend this 9 Ah battery. It is the largest capacity DeWalt battery and well worth the cost.

We needed a second battery to use with our blower, this was perfect, use one and have the other on the charger1

Used all day long between saw, drill and impact driver. Never even dropped a bar. Put it on the charger and was complete in less than 5 mins

So far the battery works well…my only disappointment is that I was hoping for it to run for ninety (90) minutes instead of just over 25 minutes…but I guess it depends on the device/tool its being used with. I use it with the DeWalt 60v Grass Trimmer.

New battery is fine too bad I had to buy a new one original one quit taking a charge 2 days after buying the weed eater at Home Depot

I bought this for a DeWalt blower. It’s heavy but works well. BTW, it will work in other DeWalt products at both 20 and 60V.

Product as expected. Cost is the big issue.

I’ve no trouble with any of the Flexvolt batteries I’ve purchased, but I think DeWalt should make clear on the package that the 9Ah rating applies when used with a 20V rated tool; and the theoretical rating is 3Ah when used with a 60V tool. A good explanation of why this is so is at: http://toolsinaction.com/dewalt-flexvolt-12-0-ah-battery-review/. As a side note, one importanat reason DeWalt Flexvolt and 20V Max are wired in groups not exceeding 20V is that the pack meets the FAA limit for batteries and can be carried aboard aircraft, so don’t throw away the flight adapter packed on the battery.
