Its great…. but if you have to make multiple cuts it gets heavy

It’s been great so far! The 9ah battery lasts forever. Saw is definitely more powerful than my corded Skil saw!
Brody Parisian (verified owner) –
Very well balanced and more per than any worm drive over ever used. Battery lasts pretty much all day and like the sky hook for an added feature.

This saw is great. I am a general contractor. I use this saw frequently. It’s very durable, I have dropped it several times from the saw horses and it still cuts true. There is plenty of power, cuts bevels with no problem. The built in rafter hook is nice when you need it. It’s heavier than the 20v saw but I think the weight and size of this saw help make the cutting easier. I have both saws, but I usually leave the 20v in the shop and take this every day. The only down side is the battery can be difficult to remove sometimes.

We could not believe how fast you got our tool repaired and returned to us. If we could give more than 5 stars we would.

This is my first cordless worm drive saw and I wish now I would have made the switch years ago. The DeWalt DCS577 is a well designed tool and has the power to cut through wood like butter. I could not be happier with this saw and would highly recommend it. Some have complained of it’s weight, which might be a concern for some. I have no problem using it. The DCS577 weighs in at 10.87 lbs as compared to the DCS565B at 6.3 lbs and the DCS578B at 8.2 lbs. The DCS577 is however lighter that the corded DWS535 (worm drive), which is 13.8 lbs.I bought the DCS577 as a bare bone as I wanted the 9 amp batteries and could not find a combo pack that had them. After this purchase, I went ahead with a purchase of a Flexvolt DCD999 drill and the DCS389 reciprocating saw to standardize the batteries for all these tools.

There isn’t anything I have encountered yet that this saw hasn’t effortlessly gone through. The power in the saw is apparent as soon as you pull the trigger. If you already have the batteries for it, this saw is a great addition to your tool set.

The saw is spectacular, but the bag included with the saw is one or two sizes too small, making it difficult to get the saw into and out of the bag. Kind of crazy. I’ll have to buy a bag for it.

It has tons of power compared to the standard 60v cordless saw and even most corded saws. It cuts and tracks great. A little heavy to cut framing lumber all day, maybe I’m just a wimp but I’ve turned into a cordless track saw and I love it.
