Honestly the best dang trimmer I ever bought (gas or electric). Easy to load, lightweight, and it folds up for better storage. Only recommendation is use a 5 amp hour battery and not the slim line batteries, they tend to get hot after use.

I already had two 5AH batteries so I bought this “tool only”. On my first test I heard some strange noises and stopped to twirl the head a bit. Duh! I looked at the head and no line was visible! I looked at the manual and was able to take the head off. I found the head easily comes apart by pressing in certain areas and I was able to unwind the spool and then rewind it on the reassembled head. I have used it at low speed very successfully on foot high dried grass and weeds. I especially liked being able to stop at any time to remove debris. I love this trimmer but I knocked off one star because the manual seems like it was written by lawyers at the expense of clarity.

I’ve needed to buy a new trimmer all summer long but have been debating on this or another gas model. Reading the reviews had me worried but i couldnt be happier. I already have over 20 dewalt tools with batteries of all sizes so it was the only choice for me. I used it for 45 mins straight on high with great results and only used 1 bar of a 60v 9ah battery. Didnt try the other batteries but this thing rocks with that battery. Very happy with the purchase.

A little heavy, but over all good, thought I could use 20V batteries I had, but had to buy “the right” battery for the job.

Trimmer worked very well, 1 battery lasted the duration of my weed eating needs. Haven’t had to reapply string yet, I expect it probably isn’t to complicated. Im 5’9” and the balance was good when adjusted probably. Fold up is easy and convenient. Power was about a 4star compared to my gas powered Echo but it was perfect for normal weed eating needs. Way quieter than the Echo too! Overall awesome tool!

Excellent battery life, power, and line durability. Bump advance was easy, line is lasting nicely. The variable speed trigger is great, trimmer made easy work of simple to medium stuff on low speed. I used a 2ah xr battery (light weight, I have a couple). I had to adjust the grip handle for balance like others mentioned. Used it just a few times so far, but love it. Wish the bar rotated 90 degrees for edging, but it is so good in other areas I accept. Attached a shoulder strap to help when I did a lot of trimming. I am not a heavy lifter, and am happy I found a trimmer with this much power that I could handle well.

Really good trimmer. Battery powered tools that draw a lot of power always have run time issues but I only ran 1/3 of my 4ah battery after trimming the perimeter of my yard, which is big but not huge. Only complaint is it seems to kick up a lot of debris into my face. Just have to remember to wear my safety glasses

I have owned gas trimmers until now. Tired of dealing with starting and carb problems and mixing gas etc., which wasted so much of my time over the years. I decided to try this tool. I have used it for about a month and I would never buy another gas trimmer for what I need. I use this for basic trimming around trees and fences etc. I have the smallest battery and I can do 4 smaller yards on one charge. It’s great for getting under trees with lower branches. It also has a variable speed so I can be careful around yard decorations without destroying them. I have not even had to refill the line yet. I’m not going through as much since I can regulate the speed better not shredding the line. High speed mode allows me to get through some thicker grass if need be. It has a good balance to it and a long reach. The line comes out easy with the sensitive bumper. It’s also great to fold it up and carry on my lawn mower between yards and also putting it in my car. The best part about this trimmer for me is the fact that I know when I get to the job its gonna start without problems. It has cut down the time it takes to do my work a lot. I would definitely recommend this product.

This is my 1st battery trimmer and so far it’s been amazing! But the folding mechanism latch does not stay tight and when I use it the shaft moves around a bit which is not very comfortable.

It is prefect for the yard ckean up after the mowing. I have a disability and it is not to heavy for me to handle. I switched from and electric weed eater which was lite but you had to tug on the electric cord which was hard. So I am loving the kite weight and no tugging!

It’s a great piece of equipment. The only complaint is that it does not have wheels to do edging.
