I have many DeWalt 20 volt products; a drill, an impact driver, circular saw and jigsaw. The product game quickly from Home Depot with free shipping. Product was easy to assemble. As I already had a 5 amp battery I thought there would be a great use of my battery capacity and conveniently edge my lawn. Product worked well, however it was easy to unintentionally scalp large areas of grass and my first job of edging my lawn looked kind of messy. I needed to learn how to hold the tool head properly in order not to scalp too much of my grass. The product works as intended and fits in well with a DeWalt 20 volt product line. Price was reasonable and I expect it to last for quite some time. Overall I give it a positive review.

Love the addition to my 20v collection. It a little heavy. I adapted a luggage strap to the unit to make it a little easier to carry. The two speed is great to conserve your twine for lighter weeds .

I purchased this DCST922 string trimmer because my DCST922 string trimmer stopped working. But i loved it. I picked this particular one because it has a 14 inch cutting swath, versus the 13-inch cutting swath of my old one. Also it looks like it might be stronger. It is incredibly stronger! It surprises me at how much better this one works for some build one. And I loved the old one, again. I can cut down Brushy grass. It really has a lot of strength behind it. I would recommend it to anyone! It is light and easy to use. I am partially handicapped, and find this string trimmer much easier than any other I’ve ever used. Lightweight and strong! You can’t go wrong with this one!

No instructions in the box on how to add string to the reel. The balance is not great. It is light and much quieter than my gas unit. Its plenty strong for trimming around the yard.

This is a nice addition to the DEWALT 20V line of tools. It’s not a heavy duty string trimmer, but useful if you have a small amount of trimming to do. It definitely beats starting up a 2-cycle engine, or dragging a long extension cord, and is especially convenient if you already have other 20V DEWALT tools in your garage since the batteries are interchangeable. The only downside I have noted is a bit more vibration than I expected – perhaps a consequence of its light weight.

I have used two times. Works as expected, decent power for battery weed eater. To trim driveway, flower beds and around trees on my 1 acre lot took 2 batteries, about 20 minutes of work. Using old batteries from drills. Nice to not have to deal with gas and works for my suburban residential needs.
