I love this string trimmer! All of my 20V Lithium batteries work with it, and it folds in half for compact storage and transportation. Plenty of power also, tackles even the bigger weeds and makes lawn edging a breeze. I also have the Stihl battery trimmer, but I am now liking this one better, it is much lighter as well. A great buy!

I am very happy with this string trimmer. Easy to hold even though need to get used to balancing the unit. Power settings work perfectly with low for around the house and not creating damage. The high setting works great for taller grass and open areas. My only concern is the vent holes above the trimmer head and consistently trying to make sure not clogged. Maybe Dewalt could make a design change or a cap that goes over with allowing good airflow. I’m sure I will come up with a rigged modification for now or research 3rd party add-ons. Overall this trimmer is great, easy to use, and handles tuff jobs just as well as a gas alternative. I am recommending to any household user and small landscaping contractors this is the better choice over gas trimmers. Unless you cutting a very large property.

Great alternative to a gas trimmer where you have to mix gas and oil. This trimmer is just as powerful but easier to operate and maintain. Its great for small to medium size yards but if you have larger acreage then having a battery trimmer wouldn’t work as well. Its perfect for my size yard and I like that the battery will also work in my other Dewalt tools.

I purchased this string trimmer to replace my dying Black and Deck one. It has much more power with just a bit more weight. It includes a battery and charger. The battery lasts quite a long time. The string is thicker and does an awesome job with grass trimming on the low setting, which saves on the battery. I would definitely recommend this.

Powerful tool but as pointed out by many other reviews it is not properly balancer for the average person. Trigger is in the wrong place and the weight is not appropriate for the size

Had to return. Though the trimmer worked well, The battery lasted about a half hour before it died. This was not enough for my needs and I had to return. This would work well for a small yard with limited trimming needed.

With some minor modifications I’ve been able to clear brush up to an inch and a half in diameter. With washers is acting as a clutch should the blade seize up. I only use this set up on low speed. WARNING – use with extreme care.

I do like this trimmer. It works pretty well and battery life is good enough for me to edge my corner lot on a third acre. However, for some reason one time I was carrying it out the garage to begin trimming, and the auxiliary handle just fell off and the trimmer slammed down on my foot. Foot was bruised and painful for 4 days. Handle was installed correctly per the instruction manual, but this still happened. I do have other dewalt products and love them, but this did not live up to my dewalt expectations.
