This saw is perfect for trimming and cutting down small trees. Bought this because my Remington gas powered one only lasted a year, and with the limited amount I use it I didn’t want to deal with another gas one. I already own plenty of DeWalt tools and batteries so it was a no brainer to go with this one. I use the 5ah battery and I cut for nearly an hour and it didn’t even drop one bar on the battery. Easy to assembly and light weight. Your arms will get a little sore with the full extension on, just because the motor is up at the chain saw making it a little top heavy. Overall a great buy and I would highly recommend. Note: drain the bar oil after use that way it doesn’t leak all over after seating for a few months.

I usually trim 3 or four pick up loads of branches each year using a ladder and a skill saw. My neighbor bought one and let me borrow it, after about ten minutes I located one at home depot and went directly over to get one. Works great for cutting off branches at high heights safely.

This saw is a beast! I have 200 acres and have been trimming the oaks. I can’t say enough good about this saw. If you are thinking about getting one, DO IT! You won’t be disappointed. I did have to return the first one I bought because it quit feeding the bar oil to the chain but I’m sure it is because a piece of debris got into the tank and blocked the hose. I am more careful when refilling the oil tank now.

It’s a little on the heavy side but other than that I would highly recommend this for you “hard to reach” limbs! Also, I wish it came with a hard case for storage.
