The cordless trimmer meets DeWalt high standards. I have used it several times and so far I am pleased with it — no gas smell or starting problems. The only problem with it is the bump trimmer line head. It is very hard to load and does not always feed both lines when you bump it on the ground. When one line does not come out it jams up the spool removal and getting it out is a chore.All things considered, I have had it for a month and I am pleased with it.

If you need a weed eater for a normal yard, this is perfect. It is powerful enough and the battery lasts a long time. If you already have 20v DeWalt tools it makes a ton of sense. You also don’t have to to bash the thing on the ground hard to get more line, a light tap is enough.

I’ve only used it twice but it seems to do a really nice job. Its easy to get into tightspots. I haven’t really figured out how the string bump works yet though.
