Wacks weeds unmercifully, torque like a gas powered unit. 60v battery lasts an hour using full power. Will last longer when its realized you dont need to go full on to trim or pump handle like a gas powered to keep it running.

1st DeWalt purchase and I’m extremely happy. After 3 months of use, had to replace the head which was grinded down when in contact with rocks and curb. I upgraded with another after market and works like new with stronger string. Battery last approximately 30-45 minutes max, had to purchase a secondary battery which was extremely expensive. 4 star for ease of use and portability, left the other star because too expensive.

The trimmer has plenty of power but even on low I can’t finish my 1 acre lot with the 9ah battery. The guard does almost nothing to stop debris and the motor is always covered in grass trimmings. I vacuumed mine out. I’ve used it under 10 times and today 2 minutes into trimming I had to keep bumping it because string wouldn’t feed out. Only slightly harder than usual and the shaft bent. Still works but I’m returning immediately. I was very hopeful switching from a gas weed trimmer. Now I have to figure out something else.

So much easier to use than my, famous, famous, famous, gas trimmer. Has plenty of power and cuts well, even in very heavy growth. The battery lasts for more than enough time to do all around the house, barn and mailbox area. Should come with a shoulder strap. The bump advance got vines under it and would not advance line but I was cutting some very tall and heavy weeds and it was easy to clean out once I saw what the problem was. Very happy with my purchase so far. Only got it last week so I hope it lasts.
