This trimmer is awesome. Much better than my old Toro electric trimmer. It’s actually fun to use. When I finished the job, I was looking for more weeds to cut. Cutting down tall grass and weeds on a hilly slope is a lot easier with this trimmer. I love the variable speed and battery. No electric cord getting in the way or hard starting two stroke problems.

Bought it because I am tired of buying gas trimmers and having to kill my shoulder trying to get them to start. It’s so light and easy to use my wife loves to use it. Would be a 5 but the guard is a little small. I read somewhere you can order I larger one, which I plan on doing.

Love this thing. Has great power and has a great run time. I have used this trimmer to cut down full grown Johnson grass and it has the power to cut thru heavy grass. When it comes to regular grass this trimmer has no problem keeping up and making short work of basic trimming needs.

We’ve used the DeWalt 60V trimmer for three weeks now. No fuel primer to pump or starter cord to pull. No cord to drag around the yard. Just insert battery, squeeze levers, trim! We have about 90 meters of lawn edge to trim. Easily three times on a charge.Only problem was the included string. The strings tended to break, requiring removal of the spool so they could be rerouted out of the trimmer head. Now, no problem with high quality aftermarket strings.

Trimmer was easy assemble and use. Plenty of power. Only used it twice but satisfied at this point. Would have given it 5 stars but the line that comes with it is horrible. It breaks easily , hoping some better quality line will take care of this issue. I am a big fan of Dewalt cordless tools

The trimmer has plenty of power but even on low I can’t finish my 1 acre lot with the 9ah battery. The guard does almost nothing to stop debris and the motor is always covered in grass trimmings. I vacuumed mine out. I’ve used it under 10 times and today 2 minutes into trimming I had to keep bumping it because string wouldn’t feed out. Only slightly harder than usual and the shaft bent. Still works but I’m returning immediately. I was very hopeful switching from a gas weed trimmer. Now I have to figure out something else.

For the price I was expecting more. The battery life is not all that great and the power is just ok. We have a large lot so I wanted something that would allow me to freely move about the property without worrying about the length of my power cord or the maintenance of a gas powered machine. However this thing is bulky and heavy. For the work load I have its battery life doesn’t deliver. Replacement batteries aren’t cheep and not all the new generation packs fit this trimmer. It’s over-priced and I would not recommend it and I wish I had bought something else. I love DeWalt products so I’m disappointed.

Runs .095 line through thick weeds without bogging down. Bump feed works ok but line binds in spool a lot. DeWalt’s just released a quick feed replacement spool head that is pictured on the bare tool so check that out before you buy the kit.This trimmer is not attachment capable. The internal wiring on mine is starting to fray from hauling it around in half, which DeWalt recommends you do not do.The removable guard is small for edging. DeWalt says not to use it for edging, which I do. With a 9 amp battery I’m getting 20-25 minutes of run time at full speed through thick weeds.Overall this tool is well balanced and powerful with very little vibration.
