I’ve been using this product for a few months and have been really happy with it. It has great power and it hasn’t made me regret my decision from getting away from gas powered options. Best of all, it runs very smoothly. Battery life is good (lasts me about 30 mins) but you may want to invest in extra batteries. I was already on the Dewalt platform so having extra batteries came in handy.

this trimmer is just as powerful as a gas trimmer but without the mixing of gas and other regular maintenance of a gas trimmer. the batteries last way longer than i expected, very good product, i am very happy with this trimmer.

The weed eater was really easy to assemble. Lots of power. Perfer the bump feed for the trimmer line(which this dose have) compared to the line feed that feeds line everytime you release the trigger. I dislike that feed system, you end up wasting alot of your trimmer line. Over all extremely happy with the entire DeWalt 60 Volt line of tools.

Fabulous product – battery lasts a long time even when cutting through thick weeds. Auto string feature is excellent and the refill I suggest is an intertwined type which also lasts an extremely long time since it is less brittle than some of the typical single strand orange or blue colors.

I’ve had one of these for about four months and it stills works flawless. This is ideal for a home setting. Not quite ideal for if you have a ditch as it won’t take heavy enough line and the batteries die out too quick with large amounts of work. Also ran into a few feeding issues but turned out I think I was winding too much line on the spool. Other than that simple to use and works great on fences. Exceptionally lighter than most weed eaters on the market.

Bought this instead of a gas powered one, and it has not let me down. I have to look for weeds and grass to trim to kill the battery. and the nice thing it comes with a battery that is compatible with all the tools I use.

I have had the trimmer for over a month now and am extremely happy I made the purchase. I have charged the batter only once and have made about 7 cuts with it going strong on an average property.

I have had this string trimmer for a few months and performed better than I expected. Very powerful even on low setting. Great replacement for gas powered Husqvarna string trimmer.

Bought the trimmer after a price drop and needing to replace my old electric trimmer that I have had for 20yrs or so. We have 2.5 acres with a fence line and two houses on the property that sit on slopes. The riding lawn mower does not do too well against the fence or on the slopes and the old weed wacker required too many cords to reach the far fence line. Decided to by the DeWalt 60v cordless. The trimmer is a little on the heavy side but balances well with its length and battery pack on the rear. The power – Amazing. It’s not uncommon for it to twist in the hand when engaging thick stalks of brush. Run time on the battery was more than enough to finish my fence line and around the two houses. I do have a 60v flexvolt saw so the two battery packs are nice. Warning: wear long pants and eye protection when using. I wore shorts my first (and last) time and my shins got pretty tattered from the flying debris. Great trimmer

I bought it a while back and I have never been happier with a trimmer. I have had gas all my life and I hated working about gas oil mixtures and levels. On top of that trying to get it started in the cold or sometimes trying to get it started at all. With the battery you pop it in and get going. It’s awesome!

I bought this string trimmer last year as part of my tool refresh plan. Getting older and getting frustrated with gas trimmers I decided to give this unit a try. I’m really glad I did! Its lightweight, powerful and I can use my other 60v batteries if needed. The string seem to last longer then others I have tried so stay with the Dewalt brand. So why the 4 stars instead of 5, winding of the string. Its a bit of a hassle and the directions are very clear on reloading the string.

I take care of an acre of land on a golf course and I have Mossy areas as well as steep hills where my ride on mower cannot access. With two 9 amp hour batteries the second battery will charge before the first is dead giving me an unlimited ability to continue using this tool. I flip it on edge to do all of my edging and it has plenty of power to do this, saving me on needing an edger. The bumper runs along the ground so I can trim the Hills easily and uniformly. It has plenty of power to take out small shrubs and brush. Very easy to swap out the string. I previously had to separate gas trimmers that I have donated to my neighbor because I simply don’t need them anymore. I highly recommend this tool.

Yes.. it has great power. Yes, it’s a beast and will cut big weeds. I didn’t have any problem with the battery or the charge lasting a long time. What I’m not crazy about is: 1) The bump mechanism gets clogged with weeds and stops working so I have to take it apart and try to clean the mechanism out, which is difficult because you can’t get to the part where the weeds wrap around. 2) The head part is REALLY hard to get off. 3) The string is pretty wimpy. I’ve only used the .80 size but I’d like to try the heavier stuff but can’t find it anywhere. 4) The trimmer is pretty heavy for me. I don’t know why it doesn’t come with a strap of some kind. I’m going to have to rig something because I have to rest my arms often. 5) It throws alot of debris back onto me. The guard is just too small and doesn’t keep weed clippings from coming back and hitting me. I really should have a full face shield instead of just safety glasses.

Got this string trimmer after my Husquevarna trimmer seized up after only two seasons! Sick of gas string trimmers I thought I’d give battery power a try. After researching for days it was clear to me that DeWalt has the right combination of battery power and run time. I have just about and acre to trim with mostly light grass and some woody type weeds. it lasts through the full job on one charge. I was impressed enough with the new Flex Volt Battery that I picked up the new FlexVolt blower as well. I have been a diehard Bosch user for 20 years and I’m retiring my 24V Drill driver and Saw combo to continue my upgrade to DeWalt.

I’m very happy with the performance of this trimmer. I have 2 6Ah batteries and they last through my whole yard.If you’re tired of mixing gas, puling on start cords and electric trimmers that under preform, I highly recommend the 60v Lithium-Ion from Dewalt. Be sure to get at leas 6Ah batteries.

Outstanding trimmer with plenty of power. Replaced a 21cc gas trimmer that was heavy and noisy. So nice not to have to have ear plugs and the constant vibration and gas fumes. The 60v battery completes our 1/4 acre property with only 1 bar used. Rarely used at full throttle. So comfortable to use and provides more precise trimming than gas powered. Having these interchangeable batteries between so many devices is the reason I am sticking with Dewalt. Have always enjoyed their corded devices – drills, table saw, drywall gun, sawsall, etc. They have taken their cordless products to a new level in ease of use without loss of power.

I bought this thing like a year ago and it still works like a champ. If your not using dewalt then what is wrong with you. This is the best brand I’ve ever used
