Fabulous product – battery lasts a long time even when cutting through thick weeds. Auto string feature is excellent and the refill I suggest is an intertwined type which also lasts an extremely long time since it is less brittle than some of the typical single strand orange or blue colors.

I had trouble pulling crank oun a gas weed trimmer. This is just what I needed, my wife may take it away from me, she really likes using it to. It’s light enough for her, yet does the job. I have used in some very tall heavy grass, worked like a dream. Wish I had bought one earlier. Dewalt really did a good job on this one. Battery last a long time without having to recharge, maybe 5 – 6 hours.

This thing is pretty rad! Every bit as powerful as our old gas trimmer but way quieter and no smelly messy premix. Also, no issues starting cold. The battery is also impressive! Overall I am very happy with the purchase.Only issue is minor but worth mentioning; the stock string is pretty weak, but that is easily changed.

Amazing power. Trimmer line didn’t last long. Soooo nice NOT to mess with gas, oil, and pull- starting. Drains batteries fairly quickly, but I’ve got plenty of backup 60-Volt, which is why I bought it. Very impressed.

This is a great product. I have other Dewalt tools and felt this could make my trimming easier than my old gas trimmer. I can set it on low power and it trims terrific. After using it around my half acre lot it the battery still shows 2/3 charge left. Now I don’t have to refill gas and line in order to finish trimming. I’ve used it twice now and still haven’t had to replace the line.

I was skeptical to buy based on the bad reviews. This is a quality piece of equipment. It’s about the same weight as a gas trimmer but is very well balanced and has just as much probably more power. Old 20v trimmer went through 3 batteries to do our estate size yard and this one finishes with 1 charge and power to spare. A solid 50 minute task. I would recommend buying the larger guard part number N512929 makes a big difference in discharge amount and user cleanliness. My only complaint is there isn’t an edger attachment.

I have used this once to trim my yard. I will never go back to a gas trimmer. The speed control and lack of noise is incredible. It is so much easier to get a precision cut with just the right speed in tight places. I am hoping, the battery, with a full charge, will allow me to cut the whole job before needing a recharge. Of course, I couldn’t wait for the battery to fully charge before I had to try it out.
