Love this Trimmer. I keep it in my truck so i have it at any site i am working on. 9Ah Battery last about 35-45 min at constant use for me and I keep a 6Ah as well charged up for backup. Weight and balance is great. It does make a bit of a mess since it does not have a very large shield so goggles, hat and face covering highly recommended when using.

This is only a string trimmer and has no options for turning into a brush trimmer. Although the run time and power are good from the 60v battery, the battery is hard to put in and take out. It is a horrible design that almost requires a hammer to remove. Every time I beat on the battery to get it out, it falls on the ground and I wait for it to be broken. And, do not buy the DeWalt trimmer line. It often breaks off in the head. Which reminds me, grass will get wound around the shaft above the head preventing it from discharging more line when you “bump” it.

Great power for electric. Poor design: foldable shaft cuts into cable ..returned brand new one as cable sleeve was already fraying… I will not be folding it.

To take the battery out you need to lose up each star but. Once you turn it 3 times lose. It’s a lot better to take the battery out

I’ve never been disappointed in DeWalt’s quality & long-lasting batteries. I wish they made an electric bicycle which used their batteries!

I have used this once to trim my yard. I will never go back to a gas trimmer. The speed control and lack of noise is incredible. It is so much easier to get a precision cut with just the right speed in tight places. I am hoping, the battery, with a full charge, will allow me to cut the whole job before needing a recharge. Of course, I couldn’t wait for the battery to fully charge before I had to try it out.

Battery lasts very long. It works great and it’s not too heavy for me.

Good power, safer than a gas powered saw. No oil drips or gas smell to transport. Had to buy a second 9ah to be able to really use the saw. The one that came with the saw didn’t last long enough.

I had trouble pulling crank oun a gas weed trimmer. This is just what I needed, my wife may take it away from me, she really likes using it to. It’s light enough for her, yet does the job. I have used in some very tall heavy grass, worked like a dream. Wish I had bought one earlier. Dewalt really did a good job on this one. Battery last a long time without having to recharge, maybe 5 – 6 hours.

The trimmer works as expected, I get about 45 minutes out a single battery which is pretty good I think. One issue is with the trimmer string deployment. As is pretty usual with this type of device you need to tap the head of the streamer to release more string. This works, however I fund after a couple fo days using the unit the shaft of the trimmer started to curve up, this because very nit cable and eventually I had to straighten it by hand. I am concerned that this will impact the durability of the unit as eventually the shaft will break because of the repeated bending.

The first one I bought had an electrical issue in first month and the string did not feed well out of spool so I took it back. The second one I bought did not feed the string out well from the spool head very well either without banging it on the ground really hard… even then it only fed 60% of the time. I had to hit it so many times and harder that the aluminum shaft bent some. So I replaced the dewalt head with an echo head and now it works fantastic. You will probably void your warranty but I recommend changing the faulty dewalt head to an echo head. Its easy… just lock the shaft at the hole above the spool head and turn clockwise (reverse thread) to take it off. Then install the echo. Remember to take your pin (nail in my case) from the shaft lock after you are done. Works great now and I care for 5+ acres. I was disappointed that they send a standard charger with it. I recommend getting another 9ah battery and a 6ah charger to speed up charging.
