It features a variable speed trigger and speed lock for total power control, and its lightweight and ergonomic design maximizes control and minimizes stress on your arms. This is a great product. I have other Dewalt tools and felt this could make my trimming easier than my old gas trimmer. I can set it on low power and it trims terrific. After using it around my half acre lot it the battery still shows 2/3 charge left. Now I don’t have to refill gas and line in order to finish trimming. I’ve used it twice now and still haven’t had to replace the line.

The trimmer works as expected, I get about 45 minutes out a single battery which is pretty good I think.One issue is with the trimmer string deployment. As is pretty usual with this type of device you need to tap the head of the streamer to release more string. This works, however I fund after a couple fo days using the unit the shaft of the trimmer started to curve up, this because very nit cable and eventually I had to straighten it by hand. I am concerned that this will impact the durability of the unit as eventually the shaft will break because of the repeated bending.

Exceeds expectations. Very powerful, feed works reliably so far. A bit heavy, I rigged up a shoulder strap which helps a lot. Way, way better the piece Ryobi piece of junk I had previously. Every Dewalt tool I have had has held up quite well, and although this trimmer is new, I am expecting it to last several seasons.
