Very good suction and design provides a lot of flexibility. Works for a very long time with DeWalt battery.

I like it. Long run time on my 5amp XR 20V batteries. I would like to have had a longer hose, but other wise all right.

Purchased this a month ago, using the vacumn primarly for cleanup during trim work. Love the light weight, power is adaquate. Only small gripe is I dont like the hard plastic on finished wood. Wish there was an option for a brush type head. Otherwise I do recomend this vacumn for any pro for small clean up work.

I bought this to vacuum out my vehicles. It does a decent job but can be a little bulky when trying to get into tighter areas. I think I would prefer the power switch to be on the grip for easier one handed operation, though.

I have the ‘B’ version (no battery or charger) since I have an array 20V Max tools. For the size the suction is good, the bin is easy to dump, but there are several design items that could have made this a much better product.* It needs hooks for a shoulder strap. It is small enough, and with the flexible hose if it had a strap that would free one’s two hands to make clean up jobs easier.* The power switch needs to be in a better location. Too many times I am working in a tight space while holding it, and inadvertently bump the switch and turn it off.* It needs some missing accessories: 1-Since the hose comes off with a bayonet attachment it would be great to have the option of a longer hose. 2-The longer hose could have a 90 deg end to allow other attachments such as brushes. 3-I use this for computer service, and a small narrow soft brush would go a long way to helping me. 4-It needs a snap on dust brush for the business end.So basically it is a great little vac, but it sorely needs some add-ons to make it a smash hit. That’s my take.bc

Think “DeWalt Dustbuster”I have probably close to 20 DeWalt 20V tools (and some 12V) that I’ve added to my shop over the years and have been very pleased.I’ve been eyeing one of the cordless vacs for awhile as I thought it would be convenient for little cleanups when doing projects around the house, so when I saw one of these at HD on sale for $90 I snagged one to try out.Noise:First thing of note is how loud it is. For being so compact it rivals my larger vacs I have in the shop.Suction:Honestly, really lackluster unfortunately. It can pick up really lightweight stuff easily, but I recently replaced a ceiling fan and some outlets in a kids room and it had a really difficult time picking up anything (small bits of drywall, wire sleeves, etc) from the carpet without some encouragement. At the top I referred to it as more of a “DeWalt Dustbuster” because that is about how much power you get from it, but just A LOT bigger.Picking up small things from smooth surfaces seemed to work better, but don’t expect anything even remotely medium duty. Also tried it for a wet vac application when I was suctioning some water out of a small hole in the yard where I had a sprinkler head leaking. As you can imagine the 0.5 gallon fills up fast which makes its use for a wet clean up really limiting.Parts:The vac comes with an odd sized (compact), proprietary DeWalt filter that to replace is anywhere from $25-30. Would have liked something a bit more standard so in a year or two they won’t be impossible to find.Recommended with caveats: For really, really light duty work I think this vac does alright. But for even the smaller honey do type project around the house it doesn’t really cut it for clean up.

It arrived in a couple days. It is light, solid suction, well thought out design including detaching the hose and super easy to use. It replaces an old wall mount unit I had whose battery would last only about 5 minutes after I had owned it for about a year. I have other DeWalt cordless devices so this was a no-brainer.

Been impressed with suction and pickup. Quick use for auto vacuuming without using electrical cord and also small pickups around garage and house.
