Needed a portable option to clear out HVAC drain lines and to clean up small jobsite messes. Have only used 3-4 times, but so far so good.

I wanted a DeWalt wet dry vac for around the house. I did not want a large garage size unit, because I wanted to make it easy to grab for a quick clean-up: most particularly for when my cat vomits on the carpet. The two gallon Max Cordless does not provide a lot of suction, however. It will work fine for small, dry debris. I dropped the second star for the noise level of the vacuum. For so much noise you’d think it would provide much more suction. Still, it’s a gorgeous and relatively light design. The two attachments neatly store on the unit unobtrusively. The switch is placed in an awkward position. It would be better up on the handle where you could turn it on or off with your thumb. I like that it accepts at least two kinds of DeWalt batteries. The price, for not coming with a battery, seems steep. I later bought the 10 gallon DeWalt garage wet/dry vacuum for one third less the price I paid for this 2 gallon cordless. If I had to buy another one, I would look at the other DeWalt version of the same vacuum that can either be powered by the house current or the battery. But this would make it heavier.

This is a well put together tool. The cordless aspect makes it very handy with the waterproof filter making it a wet vac as well.If I had it to do again I would have bought the model that uses corded and battery operation. This has plenty of power and is a great addition to my massive tool set.

Works great! Reasonable apparent CFM, and even my little 20V, 2AH Batteries keep me cleaning for a respectable time far beyond my expectations.HELPFUL HINT! – I opened mine and added a standard long vacuum bag for easy cleanup. Doesn’t always stay in place, but keeps the original filter very clean for longer lasting vacuuming power. But DeWalt, why didn’t you include a cheap elbow so we could deflect the exhaust air to blow up out of the way, and a couple 18″ rigid tubes like most vacuums have? I’d gladly buy a good quality, east to use accessory kit with a brush and conversion to bagged cleanup. Love to have a word with your design team.

Good concept well designed the suction isn’t up to par, and on a 4.0 ah battery run time is less then 10mins

My husband bought this a few years ago for his business and I use it all the time around the house. It has great suction, super small and easy to carry around We clean out the cars, the window sills or just little messes here and there. My mom and sister have both purchased one because I rave about ours so much!! Great gift idea!!

This unit seemed to work fine at first.Battery charged up quick, suction was pretty good.Basin held just the right amount of debris and the filter didn’t clog up.Now that it’s just under a year old, I went out to do some light clean up and nothing happened. Does not respond to the switch. The battery is at 100% charge. There is a very non-user-friendly fuse inside and it’s soldered in!Not designed for owners to do any troubleshooting at all. I can not recommend this wet/dry cordless vac. Still looks new, just simply no longer works.I did a quick search online for troubleshooting issues with this unit and found that this is a frequent problem. Many users had to completely replace the circuit board, others replaced that soldered-in fuse.I’ll be avoiding this unit in the future. I’m happy that the battery is usable on many DeWalt tools, so that’s not going to waste.

I have only used this Vac like 4 times since purchased, probably 4 maybe 5 months now i got it out to use it again and nothing, disassembled to find that the circuit board is burned. It appears to me that a wet/dry vac should be totally dry “inside” where the board is
