Go battery powered or outlet powered with the DEWALT DCV581H Wet-Dry Vacuum. It uses an 18-Volt or 20-Volt Max battery (not included) – or you can plug it in to an AC outlet. This Wet-Dry Vacuum features a HEPA rated wet/dry filter that traps dust with 99.97% efficiency at 1 micron. Backed by a DEWALT three year limited warranty for added peace of mind.

The vacuum hose is a bit uncomfortable its kind of short to use while standing up. Another thing that is annoying.. is that the vacuum has a blower hole.. and you can switch from the vacuum to the blower hole using the hose. Well when you’re using the vacuum, the blower hole blows away everything. And to top it off the plug wire is very very short so its better to buy the battery or be prepare to use an extension cord.Those are my issues with this vacuum; overall it has great suction and it gets dog hair out of carpets without a struggle.

It is ok. Depends on what you want use it for. It did a good job getting the dust from my grill but was marginal at best vacuuming my car. It just doesn’t have a lot of suction. It is light.

I bought it for my wife as a birthday gift. That’s what she wanted and she loves it. The only thing is I’m not sure why the battery doesn’t charge when it’s plugged in not in use. Nice product.

Really good portable Vac. Watched many videos and read reviews before purchasing. They pretty much nailed it. I’m very critical of what I buy and this meet my expectations. As always, it could be more powerful but will definitely do the job and do it well. I get a good 25 minutes out of my newer 3.0 amp battery. Seems very quality built in fit, finish and mechanics as you’d expect from Dewalt. It won’t lift the living room carpet but it will pick up the mess on it quite easily. Great portable vac for the shop! A little pricey in my opinion is about the only negative.

Disappointed in the DCV581H, cordless/corded wet/dry vacuum. The suction is not that good, you have to be right on top of the wood chips/dirt. The hose has a proprietary end so you can’t hook up an extension easily. It would have been convenient if the battery would charge when plugged into an AC outlet so you can charge for other portable tools (drills/saw…) while the vacuum is plugged in and you don’t have to use a separate charger.
