The 20-Volt MAX XR brushless cordless 1/4 sheet variable speed sander provides you with the power and run-time needed to get the job done. A variable-speed dial provides speed control from 8,000 OPM to 14,000 OPM for a variety of jobs. 1-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors (sold separately). Rubber over mold grip provides comfortable sanding. Paper clamp designed to hold paper securely and for ease of installation. Battery and charger sold separately.
- Dust port is designed to fit directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors (sold separately)
- To attach dust port to other vacuum systems with 1-1/4 in. hoses, use DWV9000 universal quick connector (sold separately)
- Long dust chute (not included) part number N684701 for use with 6 Ah batteries and larger
- Paper clamp designed to hold paper securely and allow for easy installation
- Dust-sealed switch to protect against dust ingestion for long switch life
- Texturized rubber over mold grip for comfortable sanding

I bought this the weekend after getting the newsletter that showed it’s release. I have been so happy with it! The table is so flat and effective that you can easy sand things like picture frames and trim without worry of rounding the edges. In stead you get nice sharp 90-Degree edges that you would typically have to carefully hand sand. The Clamping system pulls the sheet very tightly to reduce any sag in the sheet.. Easy to use and the suction system works wonderfully, effectively reducing any nuisance dust. Worth every cent!

his is a battery operated quarter sheet variable speed hand sander. We have a larger sander that was too heavy and bulky for me to use. It was also not battery operated and did not work well for smaller projects.This is much easier to use according to my husband. The fact that I can use it, too, attests to that. It can be used with smaller projects and with a wide variety of grit sand paper. It works really well and the battery makes it much easier to maneuver. The battery does not come with the sander, so if you do not have one, you will need to purchase both the battery and the battery charger. There are a number of batteries that Dewalt makes but the one that works with this sander is the 20V max lithium ION 5ah. We had a larger battery that did not fit.

Wasn’t sure when i bought this that it would have the lasting power to be useful. We use hand sanders constantly and since the first purchase of this tool we have bought 6 of them. I turned out that this ended up being the go to tool. Only note is that the battery terminals can get cloged with dust so its a good idea to blow them out with some low pressure air every so often.

Great way to sand wirhout the cord tangle. The biggest problem is keepong track of the provided hole punch for putting holes in sheet sanding paper, it works really well.
