Nice sander but will not work with flex volt batteries. They do not fit because of the filter bag. Other than that it’s a nice tool for a cordless.

Very glad I purchased this sander. I very much prefer the cordless platform. Worked great on several projects already.

They advertised a Sanders package special with a bag battery charger and the sander and when I got there all they had was just to sander that was a great deal to get you in there huh

Since I already have a 20-Volt tool with two batteries, getting the sander – tool only made a lot of sense. The sander is easy to use and not too heavy. The sandpaper is easy to insert into the one slot on one side however the button release is a little bit of a challenge for me. The other side slips under the spring mechanism and was easy to operate. I used the dust collector attachment and pierced the paper as instructed. The collector manages to collect about 50% of the dust only. This is a great little tool for small to moderate size projects . There are 7 pages of safety instructions and only 2 pages of use instructions.

Sander is fantastic. 20v battery only – no larger than 5AH. The output for vacuum will get in the way if you try to put on a 6ah or larger battery. I used a 4ah and a 5ah during sanding. The grip on sand paper is quite good – I had no problem or slippage from the sand paper while sanding. The attached perforation board for the sand paper worked as designed – put holes in the paper for ventilation. Selectable speeds from 1-7 give quite a bit of flexibility on the project. I was surprised how little my hands hurt after using this for 30 minutes. The battery usage was also good – being the brushless product. Preforms better than my corded unit – have an old “mouse” sander with a short cord. Dewalt cordless is just as powerful – more even – than my old corded unit. I was hoping the output hose connector would work with my Dewalt vac – nope. Perhaps with a larger shop vac unit – but that would limit me to a corded tool. Every time I upgrade a corded tool to Dewalt cordless I am amazed with the versatiliy.

This is my second Sander from Dewalt excellent unit less noise and much easier to put the sandpaper than the equivalent from Ryobi and does a much better job if you planning to purchase this don’t think any more go for it.
