The sander works great. The battery power is strong and lasts. The sanding pads stay attached with no problem. I’d buy it again.

This little sander is amazing! I’m loving not being connected to a cord. Seems to do the same job as a orbital corded sander but more user friendly because the cord won’t get in your way. The battery seemed to hold up well through quite a few projects.

I have been sticking with Dewalt 20Volt tools. I purchased the prior to applying sealant to my deck. I wanted to get the rough patches and splintered areas leveled down. I have a very large deck and was able to sand all of it with this palm sander. Belt sander would be to fast and cause divets or run away from me. I was able to get under posts and edging. I built the kids wooden swords and bird houses and sanded smoothly and painted. I let me nine year old use it as a first hand on respecting tools and their use. Refinished my dining table, kids desk and going to and sanded my aluminum jon boat down to add a new coat.

I can’t stress how much I love this sander. Anyone who does frequent woodworking can attest to how annoying it is having to walk around a work piece dragging a cord. I asked for this for Christmas shortly after Dewalt released this sander and purposely held off on making a review until I had sufficient experience with it. With a 4 or 5 amp hour battery you will get a decent amount of sanding on a charge, however this isn’t a tool you will get a lot of extended use out of if you only have 1 or 2 batteries. I have a fairly large collection of batteries and chargers so I never have any down time waiting for batteries to charge. I don’t have any sort of dust collection system yet in my workshop to hook this too, but I can say that the dust collection bag it comes with misses a fair amount. However, that isn’t any different than any other sander I’ve owned.

It was actually doing great, then the second time I used it the band broke under the pad, just haven’t had a chance to return it. I had hope for 140.00 it would at least have one with it being as though, no tool bag battery or charger, a little dissatisfied, I own all Dewalt also
