DEWALT DCW600B 20-Volt MAX XR Cordless Compact Router Tool provides power like a corded tool while providing the convenience of a cordless router. The plastic fixed base and dual LED lights help to illuminate the work surface and provide superior bit visibility. This cordless woodworking router is equipped with variable speed control for optimal bit speed in each application. The release clamp allows for quick and easy bit and base change. This hand router features an electronic brake which slows the motor down faster after the unit is shut off for greater safety and convenience.

can’t imagine how i managed with a corded model for so long. paired with a 3 or 4 ah battery its very light and nimble. love that you can set is upside down on the table. would like to see a on/off button that you can feel easily, you have to search for the button because you normally hold the router at the base. love the soft start, last router i had you always felt a kick which can be bit terrifying. love the adjustment system and the base can also be removed very quickly compared to what is was used to. base is a bit thick but i don’t mind. love the clear, half square plate. ps. my old router was a makita model. now i have to go buy accesoires

I bought this back in November 2020 after burning up 2 “Green” cordless routers (the tools my boss buys) and let me just say everything about this router is perfect. The ergonomics are just perfect where your hands just fall into place on the tool and button placement/adjustments are super easy love the way the depth is adjusted. Power is hands down amazing it last quite a while on 6ah batteries and just EATS through material like a corded router. Im a professional trim carpenter so I use it quite a bit for pretty much every task and I haven’t ran into something it cant handle yet. 10/10 Dewalt nailed this one!The only tiny issue I can think of that would turn people away is its a tad expensive but trust me, totally worth it!

First, the best part: Cordless. It’s a dream to not have to worry about a power cord getting in the way. It is pricey vice a corded router, but the convenience of being able to take this wherever I need it is great. That being said, have spare batteries or the bigger 6AH ones. This can only be used with 1/4″ chucks, vice the bigger routers which accept both. I would recommend this router if you have the need for a cordless router, but a corded router is much cheaper.Pros:- The weight is nice, even with a 6AH batters, feels balanced- Adjustable speed control- LED lights- Great for various types of work that require a smaller router- Feels well madeCons: – Speed dial is easy to turn and could change speeds just by accidentally hitting it when routing.- The latch doesn’t always shut securely. This may be due to the fact that there’s an adjusting hex screw.- Changing the bit isn’t quick or easy to get to.
