The DHS716 12 in. (305 mm) 120-Volt MAX Compound Miter Saw delivers the power and cutting capacity that end users expect from DEWALT corded miter saws with the portability and convenience of a cordless tool. The DHS716AB comes with the 120-Volt AC adapter. This saw can also be powered by two DEWALT 60-Volt Max Batteries.

I work in restoration and have used the 20 volt 71/4 since it was released. Great saw in every way compact and light. But needed the duel bevel and bigger cut. This saw is even better Iam always in homes with no power most of the time. It’s great just to grab and set up no drop cords to run to a power pole. And l’ve been able to trim whole houses base and crown with out a recharge most of the time will have 2bars left on batterys and their 6amp. Could not be happyer with it.

The thing is slick. Haven’t actually used it with the battery packs yet, only with the adapter and cord and its been fantastic. I think that shows its good since its designed for the batteries and other reviews suggest it functions better with the batteries even.

Compromised with this saw instead of the sliding 12” because at $270 on sale it was a great deal and couple hundred less than the sliding version. The XPS light works great for quick cuts and the cuts on plywood and hardwood were surprisingly very clean even with the stock blade. The dust cover to protect the power supply when on batteries is great. The saw seems perfectly aligned out of the box. Only drawbacks are that the vernier gauge was not aligned but that was an easy fix. It is also heavy and there is very slight wiggle play with the miter locked in. Otherwise, it is an awesome saw with great cuts, quick start and stop and a good addition for most jobs. Will definitely get an 80 or 100 tooth blade for the fine cuts. This was a bare tool so it only came with the blade and 110v power supply (no batteries, charger or clamps)
