I have used this both with the batteries and with the adapter. The saw is excellent and there were no concerns even cutting large timber. It did take some time to understand how to make the different adjustments, take your time and see how to adjust, nothing needs to be forced if you use the correct catches and releases

Really impressed with this saw. Cordless tech has made leaps and bounds. I trimmed out an entire 1000 sqft house with one 9 ah battery set on one charge. Only gripe I have is there is no constant on setting for the cut line light for low light conditions.
