I bought the stand so I could easily take my mitre saw outside the garage to use it. It is Solid as a rock. My Dewalt 716xps fits perfectly, the stand doesn’t tip, the hydraulic mechanism works as advertised (if used per instructions). Plus, Dewalt is moving towards total USA build (not just assembly here). Its worth every penny I paid for it.

Great stand. Came together well, just be careful not to cross-thread the bolts as they go into the die threads. Heavy, but it needs to be. Highly recommended!

It takes a little bit getting used to when raising and lowering, but it is very stable, even for my 12″ radial saw. And it saves on the back when moving the saw from place to place!

Cannot be stored in the vertical position. Purchase the Rigid universal miter saw stand. You will save $100 and can be stored in the vertical position

I own two of these stands, one for my miter saw and the other for my planer. I purchased this stand specific to its use and durability. This is a 100% tough tool and will serve you for almost any equipment you put on it. I have a competitors stands as well but the design of the unit caused the cable release to get pinched and this is not a issue with the DeWalt. My first stand has rollers to let the work rest on but the new stand just has a T-bar to rest the work. Would be a cool feature to be able to upgrade that art of the stand.
